Itâs hard to make a trio of best friends work. Usually, someone is on the outs. And that is exactly the case with Vanderpump Rules stars Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney-Schwartz, and Kristen Doute. Currently, Kristen is on the outs, but each member of the Witches of WeHo have all taken a turn.
Stassi was on the outs when she ditched her friends and Pump Rules to move to NYC and begin anew. She came back into the fold a short time later, after practically begging to be back in the good graces of Kristen and Katie. For awhile, Katie took a break from the group and buddied up with Scheana Marie. But no one could survive a one-sided friendship for long, so Katie came back to the group. Kristen also took a turn on the outs for sleeping with Stassiâs ex, Jax Taylor. But why is Kristen on the outs this time?
Rumors started bubbling up when Stassiâs mom, Dayna Schroeder, announced that Kristen didnât attend Stassiâs engagement party. Kristen also didnât go wedding dress shopping with Stassi, and Katie and Stassi skipped Kristenâs James Mae event. Stassi then shared she is taking a break from Kristen, but did not give any clues as to why.Â
Nor did Katie dish any info as to why she isnât talking to Kristen. Luckily for us, there is a bit more information that was shared as to why the trio are on the outs. Entertainment Tonight recently interviewed Stassi and Katie at BravoCon to get some answers.

Katie said, âWe need to be able to have an honest conversation, with 100 percent transparency. Weâve been really wanting that for a long time and itâs just been difficult to do that.â
How difficult could it be to have a conversation with Kristen and sort out their issues? Just keep her away from alcohol and have the convo in the city of Los Angeles. We all know that girl cannot travel!Â

Stassi added, âWeâre both sad about it and we talk about it all the time. And weâre like, âI wish it wasnât like this, but what can you do right now?â But obviously, we hope this doesnât last forever.â We all know it canât, as someone else will have to be on the outs for season nine.
As for Kristenâs side of things, she thinks of Katie and Stassi as family. A family that goes through an unnatural amount of ups and downs to say the least! Still, we know this has to work out between them. They canât stay mad at each other forever. Letâs just hope they clear things up sooner rather than later, and donât drag this out all season long.Â
