This week on Married to Medicine LA, Imani Walker is anticipating her sister’s arrival in town after not seeing her for over ten years. She is excited to meet her nephew and have the chance for their families blend with one another. One of the cast members may be leaving LA for good. Will fractured friendships in this group be mended or are they beyond repair.
Shanique Drummond meets with her bestie Jazmin Johnson for drinks. She explains feeling overwhelmed with her job and family obligations. She becomes emotional at the table because she feels like her husband doesn’t respect what she does on a day to day basis. Let’s be real, Robert may be a doctor and the primary breadwinner, but he shouldn’t make his wife feel she has to choose between her job and family. In all honesty, it seems apparent that Shanique takes great pride in all of her obligations as a wife, mother and businesswoman. So I can see how frustrating it would be to feel like your partner doesn’t support you in all your endeavors.
This week on Married to Medicine LA, the ladies are still meeting with the false prophet, aka the “intuitive” at Noelle Reid’s birthday party. The next victim is Imani Walker who wants to know if she is going to be okay. Is she actually taking this woman seriously after watching her interact with the other women? I guess what they say is true, a fool is born every minute. I wouldn’t trust her to predict when my pizza would be delivered, let alone anything about trials in my life.
Imani cries when Sahara tells her she has always been okay. Just when you think things are semi- normal, Sahara reveals she has done exorcisms and begins banging foreign tools in her face to clear her energy. Ummmm….okay. Lastly, Shanique Drummond asks for guidance on how to let someone know she isn’t trying to be malicious. She is clearly talking about her fight with Asha Kamali-Blankinship regarding her comments about her husband possibly cheating. Asha believes that she was indeed trying to be malicious and the psychic agrees Shanique isn’t being genuine. I am struggling to figure out, what was the point of bringing this crazy psychic on the show. Noelle seems to be one of the most level headed of the group, but I am starting to question that given her trust in her psychic/yoga teacher.
Last night on Married to Medicine LA, the drama continues from Shanique Drummond’s shocking announcement about Asha Kamali-Blankinship’s husband possibly cheating. I am still confused as to why Asha is still playing the victim when SHE opted to attend a party where her husband’s ex was also in attendance. After storming out on the ladies, she returns and demands that Dr. Imani Walker make Shanique apologize. I think Imani has enough problems of her own. She may not be the best candidate to play peacemaker. Shanique obliges and apologizes for the implication of cheating.
Jazmin Johnson addresses Imani’s comment comparing her home to one that a drug dealer would have. Jazmin is deeply offended by her ignorant comment. She doesn’t feel Imani would have made that comment if her husband wasn’t black. She also reminds her that despite her husband and her being in the same profession, everyone is not at the same level of success. Imani angrily denies that her comments had anything to do with race. Imani, girlllllll….that was one of the most ignorant, hateful comments I have ever heard after being welcomed into someone’s home. Just admit that you were wrong and apologize! Shanique and Jazmin have had enough of the back and forth and get their designer bags and leave. Asha, in her usual dramatic fashion, plays victim and cries on cue. I honestly believe where there is smoke, there is fire. I don’t think Asha would care this much about an ex or what anyone thought if she was secure in her marriage.
Last night on Married to Medicine LA, Dr. Imani Walker doubled down on her drug dealer home comments on Jazmin Johnson’s home. Apparently, she knows exactly how they look because she has been in one. Insert side eye, here! Her explanation is that the house was large and opulent and doesn’t have much furniture. I guess by that logic, half of the people on Bravo reality stars are drug dealers.
Shanique Drummond explains that Jazmin Johnson’s husband owns a very successful medical practice. Imani is not trying to hear that excuse because she owns a practice and isn’t living like that. Ummm…. If it walks like a hater and sounds like a hater… IT’S A HATER! Last time I checked several people have the same title and have totally different incomes and levels of success. Imani, instead of hating, maybe you should figure out what he is doing differently than you. This episode is definitely packed with catfights and drama!
Last night on Married to Medicine LA, Dr. Britten Cole faced the reality of the summer ending. She needs to figure out if her family will move to LA with her. The only person she must convince now is her husband, Mack Major. Currently in Florida, they live in a beautiful home and Mack is unwilling to settle for a “shack” in the city of LA. He is willing to continue to look for the perfect home for his family to be in one place. Let’s hope they can get it together. Her husband is very handsome (stay close Britten)!
Asha Kamali-Blankinship reveals to her husband, Larry Blankenship, that she is still emotional about meeting his ex at Shanique Drummond’s husband’s birthday party. She is better than me because I wouldn’t have admitted to the ladies or anyone that it bothered me that much. In an act of desperation, Asha and her husband go to the fertility specialist. Maybe she will feel more secure with the ring and a baby. The doctor’s advice is basically for them to have sex every day. I hope they didn’t pay too much for that consultation. That is common sense.
