All of a sudden, NeNe Leakes has turned against Kandi Burruss in the press. Please tell me, what has Kandi ever done to NeNe? Seriously, can anyone name one thing that she’s ever done to this woman? Well, other than making more money than she does. NeNe has been shading Kandi in the press for her Real Housewives of Atlanta spin-off shows.
NeNe claimed that Kandi’s friendship with Kenya Moore is solely an alliance; i.e. it’s insincere. In turn, Kandi questioned how genuine NeNe’s friendship is with Wendy Williams. They’ve battled it out in the Instagram comments section, in interviews, and, of course, on the RHOA Season 12 reunion. NeNe cause major waves when she made this comment about Kandi: “Kandi just wants to be number one, you know she’s never been number one in anything that she’s done.” NeNe, what are you talking about? Kandi is a Grammy winner, who’s constantly turning a profit on her businesses. Oh, and she just got first place on The Masked Singer.
Whether you agree with the results or not, the people have spoken. The People’s Choice Awards went down on November 10 and there were some big winners in the reality TV categories. And even the people who didn’t win showed up
to get some press enjoy the party.
I’m not gonna lie, I wish I got an invite because there were cast members from some of my favorite shows in attendance and I would just love to see them all interact. Real Housewives, Vanderpump Rules, The Bachelor, and Keeping Up With the Kardashians cast members showed up for the award show.
Confession: I can sit through 1oo’s of hours of “unscripted television,” but I have never once made it through an awards show. Except maybe the MTV VMAs one year while I was in college. And even then, I only made it through because I was too hung over to move from the couch where my roommates were watching.
However, I do find the People’s Choice Awards fascinating. Because the awards are voted on by the viewers, it makes for some… interesting results. For example, last year’s nominees for “Drama Movie of the Year” included Red Sparrow and A Quiet Place – both legitimate movies with plots and acting and character development. Wanna know what movie won? “Fifty Shades Freed.” That’s right, we the viewers chose soft porn over a movie starring Academy Award-winning Jennifer Lawrence and one starring America’s favorite human, Jim Halpert. America’s voting habits make me nervous.
