It seems almost everyone nowadays, including Alyssa Milano & New Jersey lawmakers, are not fans of MTV’s hit reality show – Jersey Shore. The town in which the show was filmed is now attempting to distance itself from the controversial show.
The Borough of Seaside Heights — the New Jersey beach town that’s home to the show – released a statement on Monday saying it “did not solicit, promote or participate in the filming” of the show. The town did however issue a permit allowing the production company to film, but says those permits are issued routinely.
The town also insists the show doesn’t reflect the majority of its visitors.
In other news, it seems controversy sells as ratings for Jersey Shore continue to soar each week. According to TVGuide, ratings for the MTV series increased to 2.5 million viewers for the December 17th episode. In the adults ages 18-49 demo, the show rose 27 percent to a 1.4 rating. Jersey Shore also earned a 2.2 rating among women ages 18-34.
This is in comparison to the 1.3 million viewers the show debuted to on December 4th.
I dont understand why everyone is so up in arms about this show. Its a REALITY SHOW people! Who cares!? I mean why arent woman upset about the Bachelor, Rock of Love, For the Love of Ray J or any of the other shows that portray woman as needy, pathetic, love/money crazy whores? So what if these kids want to be the stereotype! People that are upset about this show seriously need to get a life and just watch it for what it is…entertainment!
Love this show, I don’t know why, maybe its because of all the foolishness and mayhem it is causing, but I watch.
I agree with the Bachelor BS, I look at that as maybe prostitution? I mean all these girls trying to snag a husband and ABC pimping him out ?? and most the time the relationship doesn’t work out so you take the scorned woman and turn her into the Bachelorette??? And that is considered reality?

What is up with what’s her name, Snooki? Her hair. It’s awful. It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. I read somewhere she said she invented the “poof”? Please. People were doing their hair like that before she was even born.
I love this show!! Everybody needs to stop hating cuz they’re havin the time of their lives actin a fool lol while becoming known by the world lol. They’re all hot, especially ronnies fine ass! ; ) and if the girls are being hoes hookin up wit the guys in the house it’s not surprising lol who doesn’t kno some female that gets drunk and acts like a lil slut.. Shit I kno a couple lol.. Dnt get mad enjoy the drama and the sexiness cuz I sure kno I will!! : )
