Bravo made some major announcements this week about what is to come next season. The biggest announcement came in the form of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
There had been numerous rumblings and reports but Bravo has finally confirmed the Beverly Hills Housewives series will be the fifth spin-off based on the original “Real Housewives of Orange County.” No word yet on when the show will premier.
As for the cast, it has been reported Paris and Nicky Hilton’s aunts, Kim and Kyle Richards, have been cast. Kim and Kyle are sisters of Paris’s mom, Kathy Hilton. They are also former child stars. Restaurant owner Lisa Todd, who owns the swanky Villa Blanca restaurant in Beverly Hills has also reportedly been cast as a third housewife.
Real Housewives of Atlanta – Bravo also confirmed the return of the Atlanta housewives, more importantly they confirmed all five housewives will be returning. Kim Zolciak made recent headlines when she revealed she had yet to sign on for season 3. According to a report, the women will each receive $150,000 for their third season.
Real Housewives of D.C. – Notably absent from Bravo’s announcements were the Real Housewives of Washington D.C. which should have finished filming last year. If you recall, there was a big scandal with the White House party crashers, Michaele and Tareq Salahi, who were part of the cast though Bravo officially said they were simply auditioning them to be on the show. Michaele and her husband had filmed for months with other women, so it would be pretty much impossible for Bravo to air the season without them.
We also reported that Bravo was polling viewers last December to gage their opinion on the two. Guess we will all have to wait a little bit more to see about the DC Housewives.

I really have no desire to watch any show with any member of the Hilton family. This may be the one RH I skip.

I can see them phasing out OC for BH… Hmm I met some Dallas women and I can say they are something special I can see it being dramatic and fun on that side. I also think Louisiana would be cool too.
I would be ok w/ Dallas over BH. Those Dallas bitches are rolling in cash. I’m not a big fan of the southern accents, but it might add some humor. It couldn’t be any worse than the Long Guyland accents on RHONYC. I can’t listen to the for 5 seconds.

Kim and Kyle Richards are gorgeous. Kathy Hilton unfortunately looks a little too plastic. But it should be fun to watch women in Beverly Hills. I live in Los Angeles and I’ve driven down Sunset Drive several times and spotted those massive houses that make the OC homes look like shacks.
LOL The BH Housewives are going to cause OC’s to work up a sweat! They look like BH women – very groomed and maintained. Very low-key and sophisticated.
haha – like Ms_Fu points out, BH makes OC look like run-of-the-mill McMansionville.
And nothing like the real deal to cause grief for fakes like Tamra and Lynn and Gretchen, bottom-feeders like Jim & Alexis.
Vicki is the only one who could possibly hold her own with the BH women.

The DC Housewives are TERRIBLE!!! There is not a likealbe or interesting one in the whole bunch. DC is not a town with a great reputation to begin with and they are just making it worse. BORING….cut your ties and move on….there are a gazillion other women in this nation who are FAR more interesting than this sad bunch!!!!
Please…Please…Dont bring Nene Leakes back. The only thing good in her being in the show, is that i go do some house shores when she is on. She is very hateful and getto. When she cant win an argument she resorts to threats and then plays the racist card. Guess my house will be clean if she comes back.
I agree, Open Dallas, Texas up and see some real reality! I wanted to say the same about Florida (my state) but I am so ashamed of that Miami bunch I fear viewers would not watch. Some one up the page a bit referred to a few of the ‘OC’ housewives as ‘bottomfeeders’. BRAVO!!!!! cancel their contract.
