Financial woes continue for Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe Giudice.
The latest is now that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, who famously declared on the show’s 1st season that living in a previously-owned home was “gross,” has listed her famous New Jersey home for sale. The asking price? A cool $3,999,000.
Oddly enough, Teresa and hubby Joe declared the home value to be $1.7 million in their October 2009 bankruptcy filing. Guess the home value must have doubled since last year.
There are also conflicting reports on the status of the home, which they can be seen living in on the Bravo reality show. A previous report by the NYPost stated the bank had started foreclosure proceedings on the extensive marble home. Perhaps trying to sell the home for a $2.3 million profit is their last ditch attempt to save it and make some quick change.
And a new report by the NYPost today claims Teresa is capitalizing off her new bankruptcy fame. According to the Post, Teresa will be appearing in next week’s InTouch magazine to talk about her body and workout routine. Teresa is said to be getting paid less than $10,000 for the story. The post however claims the article will not focus on her financial woes.
UPDATE - Teresa is now claiming via her twitter page, that her home is not up for sale. She tweeted, “HUGE NEWS CORRECTION-I’m telling you guys first and directly…MY HOUSE IS NOT FOR SALE!!! Sorry if you were dreaming of moving in w/ me. xx”
Perhaps more of that “family assistance” has come in for she and Joe, as houses just don’t magically appear on real estates websites for sale.
Also continuing to make headlines is Danielle Staub, who’s sex tape is set to be released next Monday.
Danielle, who reveals her past as a stripper and escort in her memoir – The Naked Truth, is now claiming she was blackmailed for months over her sex tape.
In a new interview with HollywoodLife, the mother of two opens up about the sex tape. “I had a sexual relationship that was supposed to remain private,” claims Danielle, who has done nothing to try to stop the release of the tape. “I was approached and I’ve been being blackmailed for quite some time and there’s NOTHING I could do to shut it down.”
Right Danielle. She also denies claims that she leaked her own sex tape. “I would never release my own sex tape. I would never do such a thing,” she says adamantly. “It’s not true that I made the film to be released to the public,” she says. “I’m holding the camera in my hand and taking pictures of myself so I don’t know why people think the footage is high quality.”
So says Danielle who filmed the sex tape months after the airing of the first season of the Real Housewives of NJ. As we have reported, all signs point to Danielle being behind the so called “leak “and “theft” of the sex tape.

I actually like Dina’s house. Yea its way to gaudy but it totally fits her personality. Teresa is a mess. I wish her familly well, but $11 million isn’t just excessive… Its overkill. As for Danielle’s sex tape? If that is what she wanted to do, and that is what she wants to profit from, then more power to her. However, playing the “victim” and questioning the intelligence of the population with her blame game is just baffling. I don’t care that she has a sex tape, I’m not her child. Danielle is a pro at lying in addition to being a pro at other things. The only problem with this lie is she thinks everyone is too stupid to figure things out as they really happened. She thinks pulling out the martyr card about everything that happens in her life will sucker in a lot of people who can’t see through her lies. I can just imagine the bs she told her daughters to justify what she has done.
What was she being blackmailed about? (this is a rhetorical question because I don’t believe she was being blackmailed about anything.) But, let’s say she was.
Was it being told the tape would be leaked if she didn’t sign a release? So, if she is so righteous and the devout Catholic as she wants everyone to believe, why sign a release if the tape was going to be out there no matter what, release or no release.
Why make it easier for her blackmailer if the worse was going to happen anyway? Money and media attention, that’s why. Did she report the blackmail to the police? If so, what did they tell her and where are the public records to prove she reported it? Did she say anything to Bravo? If so, when and what did they say?
The woman just doesn’t have the ba*** to tell the truth because she knows it would confirm what everyone already knows, despite her past lies. I feel so sorry for her children. She is obviously not a role model when it comes to facing down adversity. If she were she would have told her so-called blackmailer to put that tape where the moon don’t shine. Whatever happens, happens, and then she would be able to go to her children and tell the truth. “I did something really stupid and now it has come back to haunt me. I will not give in to blackmail, especially since it will not stop the tape from going public. Please forgive me for being such a bad mother and person in general, because you will be paying a price for my narcissism.”
I am disgusted with Bravo about this because of the children. They are contributing to the train wreck of a life Danielle has given these girls because they want ratings.
If the powers that be at Bravo have any decency, they will stop enabling Danielle’s disgusting behavior for the sake of her children, and Danielle will be the one leaving the cast, not Dina as everyone is guessing.

Since Danielle has a vivid imagination and a martyr complex, I would not be surprised if she claims the blackmail was she and her family were being threatened. That would fit in well with her delusions about being threatened by the Manzos.
Again, if that was the case, did she go to the police (especially under those circumstances) and if so, when and where are the public records? If not, why didn’t she go to the police?

@DesignDiva im with you I am into Real Estate and the most expensive home in Theresa’s neighborhood on the market with 6 bedrooms is $818,000. Theresa’s house backs onto a highway and is overbuilt for the neighborhood. Its not Franklin Lakes, its in a middle class neighborhood but she’s so dumb she didn’t realize it dosn’t help to have the biggest and most expensive house in the neighborhood it hurts. You make money on the buy and she lost all of it the moment they planned this P.O.S facility.

What I don’t understand is how they could borrow that amount of money to build the house in the beginning with their assets, or should I say, lack of assets.
Whenever I have bought a house, I had to list all of my assets and show my earnings on paper, and also my income tax return. Just how did they do that? I keep wondering. They should have to live in something they can truly afford.
I have no sympathy for people like that. And, as to that dress Teresa was wearing, I have gotten prettier clothes from Goodwill.

I used to like Teresea. I thought she was harmless enough. She is so scatterbrained that it was funny listening to things she’d say and do. I’ve lost all respect for her. She’s totally clueless and isn’t doing her children any favors by living the life that she lives. I think she never asks her hubby where the money comes from. Just as long as she’s getting it. That’s all that seems to matter.
As for Danielle, yeah right!! She was blackmailed for months over that sex tape. So the blackmail didn’t seem to work. It’s being released and she’s loving the attention that she’s getting from it. *SALLIE MAE, I get what you mean and before I knew what I’m about to tell you, I wondered the same thing. Here it goes….
When we went to buy, our plan was to buy a piece of land and to put a Pre-Fab on it, which we eventually did but on day 1, we learned that there were some seriously shady people out there who were willing to do just about anything, which included faking documents, i.e. what your income actually was to what you had as far as assets went. Because we are NOT the type of people who would knowingly deceive a lender or ANYONE for that matter, we got up and walked out which of course, stopped the entire process. However, we walked away that day knowing that if *we* could do it, so could many others. It just so happens that we later learned of someone who did!!
My husbands fellow co-worker did this. They bought a large piece of property, (enough to fit 4 decent size houses on it) with a 5 bd, 3 ba Pre-Fab home. The home was HUGE and so was the price tag. Even though he made good money, there was only 1 income and NO assets to report. To top it off, they only paid just a little over 10 grand to get in. Their payments were just a bit over $2,500 a month. Because this family liked to spend $$ and lots of it, about 50% of it being on credit cards, according to the co-woker, not even a yr in, they found themselves in some serious trouble. Needless to say, you guessed it, they lost everything!! After they lost their home, the co-worker actually had the gull to complain to my husband about the lender!! My husband was shocked at the words that came out of his mouth because in all reality, reality as *WE* know it to be, he and his wife KNEW what they were getting themselves into yet according to them, it wasn’t their fault. Crazy isn’t it??
I suspect this is how Teresa and hubby were able to get some or all of their loans. Just like many of you, I don’t feel bad for them because they knew what they were doing.
As I’ve said in my previous posts, the ones I feel for are the children. Not just in Teresa’s and Joe’s case but for all of the children who are on reality shows!!! Most of these children go to school and because of the media attention the reality parents get, I’ll bet any amount of money that some of their peers know what’s going on in their personal lives/homes!! It’s so unfair and it’s completely wrong to put your child in such a situation!!! Since we know the parents aren’t looking out for their best interest and we know the networks aren’t either, I always ask myself “Who IS”??? Sadly, There’s NO ONE!!! Just my 2 cents…..

It WAS on the market for at least 24 hours, as it made it to the Realtor.com feed with the listing agent being from the broker Farmbrook? Realty (located within the Guidice’s market area).
A broker is not going to place a property in the MLS, without a listing agreement from the seller.
Saying that it’s NOW NOT FOR SALE doesn’t erase the fact that it WAS, Teresa..
