What Do the RHONJ Husbands Actually Do for Work?

The men on Real Housewives of New Jersey work hard for their air time. They can go from cackling to fighting in seconds, and at times, they know how to gossip better than their Real Housewives counterparts. In Season 5, Joe Gorga even glammed for one of his scenes, using the ol’ hair-in-a-can routine. Insert Joe Giudice yelling “WHAT IS THIS BLACK SH*T? SERIOUSLY, WHAT IS THIS SH*T?!”

Often seen starring in their confessionals, various planned man nights, and multiple muscle-heavy moments, these househusbands are stahs. But like, what else do they do? Well, some of these husbands have very explainable jobs. Others have gone the entrepreneurial route, which, what could go wrong?!

Everything. Clearly. Even still, here’s what these guys do for a living, when not toasting to their bridge and tunnel lives over on Bravo.

Luis Ruelas

When not wearing Nonno’s pajamas, Luis Ruelas provides Teresa Giudice with love, love, love. But what does he provide financially? Well, back in 2023, he appeared on Watch What Happens Live, where he told Andy Cohen that he’d “started a new company” in the digital media industry. In his biz, Luis helps to “lead generation ad sales,” and on the ‘Gram, he’s listed this latest endeavor of his as Digital Media Solutions (DMS).

While I’d love to give everyone grace, grace, grace, the RHONJ Season 14 trailer won’t let me. In this, Luis’ finances seem to be a major storyline. That said, perhaps his new venture came after filming, and now, he’s financially in a much better place, eh?

Joe Gorga

Joe mostly focuses on flipping houses, not tables. He also owns multiple side gigs, including a landscaping and a trash business. In addition, this Tarzan-carrier also owns and leases several different properties. It’s called a diverse portfolio of jobs, people!

While Joe’s seen his share of lawsuits arise throughout all of his various hustles, he still seems to earn a ton of dough. With a portion of this Italian flour, he and his sister Tre also once opened up a restaurant, shortly after their mother’s death. Unfortunately, they had to close down Gorga’s Homemade Pasta & Pizza, after a falling out with their business partner occurred. Cue one of Joe’s inspirational quotes here about moving forward.

Bill Aydin

Bill Aydin’s job as a plastic surgeon is the easiest one to recap. When he’s not cleaning Jennifer Aydin’s vom-fest out of his brand-new Ferrari, he’s specializing “in body contouring and aesthetic cosmetic surgery of both the face and body,” according to his website. His practice, Aydin Plastic Surgery, is located in Paramus, NJ, but if you visit, don’t ask him to operate on your nose. According to Jen, his “specialty is the body,” so overseas you must go.

Joe Benigno

When he’s not helping Margaret Josephs push people into pools, Joe Benigno keeps things a bit calmer, working as a plumber and contractor around the Tri-State area. Also, I’m so sorry, because I have to say it. “Your husband’s in the pool.” Now you, go, say it.

We saw snippets of Joe’s handiwork throughout RHONJ Season 8. Here, he was the sole contractor working on his and Margaret’s shared home, because he didn’t like how the other workers looked at his wife. At this, Margaret noted “He’s delusional. I mean, it’s adorable.”

Nate Cabral

Nate Cabral is one of the newest meatballs on RHONJ, as his wife Danielle Cabral wasn’t brought on until Season 13. He’s more than just a trophy husband though, as Nate owns his own home security business, Flash Security Inc. His company specializes in CCTV, access control, burglar alarms, and fire alarms. He’s the East Coast’s version of Edwin Arroyave, but with a still-employed wife on Bravo, for now at least.

John Fuda

John Fuda’s another newer face, his wife Rachel Fuda, also joined in Season 13. Following his fights with Tre and Luis, John drives his newly leaned frame, in addition to his freshly waxed chest, over to Valet King, his company. This operation provides valet and other parking services to the fine residents of Ramsey, NJ. On top of this, John is also involved in his family’s tile business, Fuda Tile.

Evan Goldschneider

Evan Goldschneider is a supportive king, but reading his wife Jackie’s books probably doesn’t pay him all that much. No worries on this though, as Evan’s got other sources of income on the side. He’s worked in finance for years, and apparently, he’s killing it in this sector, as another opportunity recently arrived at his mansion’s front door.

You see, in 2022, Jackie paid back her husband’s often-seen support in her own Instagram stories, revealing “It’s official!! Evan’s a professor!!” Jackie also confirmed Evan’s position, which has him serving as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University, teaching finance.

Frank Catania

Frank Catania’s got a lengthy resume, starting with his passing of the Bar in 1991. After working for years as an attorney, Frank was disbarred in 2017. On this, his ex Dolores explained in the Season 9 premiere that “He borrowed money from his client’s trust account… something called ‘co-mingling funds,’ and as a lawyer, you are not allowed to do that. Nobody lost money, and nothing was stolen, but it was enough to get him disbarred.”

Moving past this, Frank’s done everything from owning a gym to real estate, and now, as shown in Season 13, he’s venturing into the cannabis industry. To note, in New Jersey, recreational marijuana is legal. Dear Bravo, please now bring us another weed dinner party.

Paulie Connell

Paulie Connell isn’t a husband yet (well he is, but someone else’s). Just in case he makes things official with Dolores, I’ll go ahead and include him here. Basically, he’s another entrepreneur, as he owns Eco Electrical Services. According to his LinkedIn, this is a “high-end electrical contracting company” based in New York City. Keep making those sparks fly Paulie, both in your career and in your romance with Dolores on RHONJ.
