Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Brandi Glanville Gives $500 To The Defense Fund Of Teacher Sued By LeAnn Rimes!

Brandi+Eddie-LeAnn

You can always count on Brandi Glanville to bring the LOLs to reality drama.  She bounced back from a very public divorce with ex Eddie Cibrian after he cheated on her with former country star LeAnn Rimes.  When Eddie and LeAnn wed, Brandi allowed herself to indulge in some petty behavior and public feuding, but now she just lets her unfiltered mouth and brash humor fight her battles for her.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star recently donated $500 to Kim Smiley, the teacher who is being sued by LeAnn for cyber-bullying her on Twitter and subsequently recording a phone call with the singer–after LeAnn called her to discuss proper fan Twitter etiquette.  The money goes towards the defense of the lawsuit.  That's quite a way to get back at the woman who touts herself a fertile bonus mom to whatever media outlet will listen!

Talking to Radar Online, Brandi dishes that she's never met LeAnn's Twitter nemesis, but she does know what it's like to be on the receiving end of cyber-negativity…from the one who is now claiming to be a victim of it!  Lest we forget, LeAnn went to rehab for her Twitter addiction…#richboredpeopleproblems

Kim's family and friends have set up a defense fund so she can battle it out in court with LeAnn over her allegations of invasion of privacy.  Given that she's a teacher and a mother of six, she'll likely need the extra help to go head-to-head with the legal team that LeAnn can easily afford.

Brandi admits to donating to the cause, explaining, “I don’t know the woman from Adam, but I was stalked, harassed and bullied for two years by LeAnn’s producer, Darrell Brown, her tour manager and hairdresser."

She adds, “I never once called them on the phone or filed a lawsuit against them. If LeAnn wants to heal from this she needs to let it go and walk away like I did.”

Of course, LeAnn's camp puts an entirely different spin on the situation.  Her rep tells the site, “On the day that LeAnn’s critically acclaimed album ‘Spitfire’ is released, we admire the fact that Brandi stands by her convictions and is willing to publicly donate her hard earned money to the Smileys’ six or more months after their initial ask."

LeAnn's mouthpiece continues, “Contrary to Brandi’s reasoning for her compassion and donation, the civil case has nothing to do with bullying, harassment nor voicing one’s opinion.  The fact is, in California it is illegal to record a conversation without permission and then proceed to distribute the material. In terms of the criminal case that has and will always be the decision of law enforcement and is completely out of our control or influence.”

Also adding her two cents is LeAnn.  She insists to the site that she “does not condone bullying in any form,” adding, “I would hope everyone takes a pause and remembers there are real people you are insulting before you hit ‘send,’ There are a number of great organizations that I have worked for in the past and will continue to support. Currently I am focusing on The Friend Movement and will be performing a benefit show for them. I love their new campaign that is aimed at changing the F word.”

One, critically acclaimed?  Did I miss something?  And, second, I have to appreciate how LeAnn never misses an opportunity to toot her own horn.  As for Brandi, she probably made that $500 back and then some just from her exclusive statements to Radar!
