Joe And Melissa Gorga Trying To Evict Buyer Of Their Mansion, Kai Patterson

RHONJ Melissa and Joe

Well, things are making a little more sense in the sale of Joe and Melissa Gorga's mansion.

The couple reportedly sold their Montville home for full asking price of $3.8 million dollars back in August, but no sale was ever recorded with the county.  Our sources told us that the couple was  either renting out the home or dealing with a land-contract type situation (reportedly software engineer and Project Child Support founder Kai D. Patterson – sometimes known as Kai Paterson).

A rep for the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars shared that they are trying to evict the buyer for non payment and bounced checks.  “In August 2013, the Gorgas entered into a purchase agreement with an extended close option for the sale of their Montville home. To date, the purchaser has failed to uphold his financial obligations under the agreement and provided bounced checks totaling $20,000 as well as failed to pay rent for the months of April, May, and June 2014."

They continued, "After repeated attempts to have purchaser honor his agreement, the Gorgas were left with no other choice, but to pursue legal action and filed a summons for eviction.  The Gorgas have continued to carry and pay taxes for the Montville home while also building a new home in Franklin Lakes.”

Melissa told Us Weekly, "I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt, but I am not going to continue to pay for a complete stranger to live in a multi-million dollar home.”

Well, that sort of explains the lack of paper trails regarding the sale of the house.

TELL US – WILL THE GORGAS BE ABLE TO PAY THE PAYMENTS ON BOTH HOMES?
