Attention dog lovers everywhere: Lisa Vanderpump, along with hubby Ken Todd, is poised to break ground on a new dog rescue and adoption center in West Hollywood! Ken and Lisa are currently solidifying the location, with plans to get the project underway in the next three months.
The best news of all? Viewers will get to see Lisa and Ken bring this rescue center to life on season 7 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills! Ah, those shrewd contract moves with Bravo are all becoming clear now.

Lisa, who recently confirmed her return to season 7 of RHOBH, negotiated with Bravo to focus more on her charity work this season, including her work in animal rights and with the LGBT community. Thus, news of their rescue center falls nicely in line with her goals. TMZ reports that Lisa held out in negotiations until Bravo agreed to “showcase her work.”
Last year, RHOBH was downright exhausting to watch. Between the Journey of A Thousand Lymes and the ladies’ incessant whining about Lisa being some sort of Machiavellian Manipulator, not very much fun – or fabulousness – was had. (Although that Dubai Hotel was #Sick!).

Instead of getting angry, Lisa seems to be taking a page from Ivana Trump’s book: Don’t get mad dahhhling, get everything! And everything, at least in terms of storylines, is what Lisa will (hopefully) get.
Additionally, Dorit Kemsley will be joining the cast, fellow Brit and friend of Lisa. Whether these changes will spur on the other housewives to develop actual lives ventures of their own is anyone’s guess, but it’s certainly a good start!
