NeNe Leakes Apologizes For Wishing Rape On A Fan At Her Comedy Show

What in the world possessed NeNe Leakes to wish rape on a “fan” at her comedy show. Sure, she was getting booed by the audience and it can’t feel good to put yourself out there and not get a great response from the crowd, but who says that? It is not at all acceptable. Plus she has to know that everyone in the audience had their phones out to record the show. Obviously this was going to become a news story right away.

Now, NeNe is apologizing for what she said- because she has to. Obviously there’s no way she can move on from that comment without apologizing. Is she sorry? Who knows. Is she sorry the moment was recorded and was posted all over the the internet? Absolutely. There’s no doubt about that.

A couple days after feuding with Kim Zolciak and her daughter Brielle Biermann on social media, NeNe did not think it was a good call to lay low. Instead she thought it was a bright idea to bring even more negative attention her way with another classy remark. She told a woman in the audience, “Yeah mother fucker. Try, bitch” before she said, “The god damn Uber driver, I hope he rape your ass before he take you home, bitch.” It is such a vile an completely unnecessary thing to say.

Now NeNe is doing some damage control with an apology she posted on Facebook. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star wrote, “I truly regret and apologize for what I said from the stage in Oakland over the weekend. Sometimes words can cut deep and hurt when you have no intentions of them doing so. As a woman and someone who has survived abuse, I regret the words that I used. I made a mistake and I should have known better. I hope people accept my deepest and sincerest apologies. I am sorry.” As JoJo once sang, that’s just “too little, too late.” NeNe really should have known better. Anyone would know better.

It would also make sense for anyone on Real Housewives of Atlanta to be extra cautious with this topic after Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams spread rumors about Kandi Burruss wanting to “date rape” Porsha. Yet that’s not at all the case.

It will be interesting to see if she suffers any consequences when it comes to her comedy tour, Real Housewives of Atlanta, Fashion Police, or whatever else she has in the works. Or will this comment become yesterday’s news soon enough?
