Our favorite reality TV stars cannot get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to social media to share even more of their lives with us. And we would not have it any other way. Here’s a roundup of some of our favorite snapshots and selfies from this week. Enjoy.
As believable as that is, these two are actually working together on a new reality show. This doesn’t shock me too much since I feel like I’m always reading about Brandi joining new reality shows, but I am just so confused by what kind of show she would be doing with LeAnn‘s ex husband. They are not a couple, are they?
So what can we expect from season 2? Well, we get to see Brandy as the tackles her appearance on Dancing With The Stars and dating all while recording a new album. Ray J on the other hand will be tackling his career and relationship issues with his new girlfriend.
According to a VH1 press release, Brandy and Ray J “will face new challenges while expanding their entertainment empire and music careers. Without the constant guidance and assistance from Sonja, Brandy and Ray J will have to find a way to fill in her shoes and step outside the box to take their family business to a new level.
On top of having to manage their family business, both Brandy and Ray J juggle new albums. Do Brandy and Ray J have what it takes to stay fresh in the industry as they take on more responsibilities in both their personal lives and careers? Watch as the Norwoods step up as CEOs and reach new levels of success.”
The show premieres on VH1 Sunday, December, 5 at 11PM. The supertrailer is below –
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE PREVIEW? WILL YOU BE TUNING IN FOR SEASON 2?
In a new interview with E! Online, Maksim, 30, voices his disdain for DWTS. “This season has just been ridiculous,” he stated while also slamming Bristol Palin. Reason? It all has to do with an interview Bristol did on Monday with In Touch magazine during which she stated: “Maks does not like me. He thinks I don’t deserve to be here because I’m not the best dancer.” Excerpts from Maksim’s interview below –
What about the alleged right-wing conspiracy theory keeping Bristol on the show? Are you starting to believe it? I definitely think that the system is flawed. I think there are a lot of problems with it. I have a lot of friends in the Philadelphia area who couldn’t call at all. People here, in front of me, picked up the phone, dialed one time and it said, “Thank you for voting. You are over your limit.” Anybody crazy would think, “This is a conspiracy theory. Everybody’s out there and wants Bristol to win.” Not at all. I think it’s just a flawed system.
Are you mad at all about it? I felt really disappointed with Bristol. On Monday night, I found out that she went on record saying that I said something about her along the lines of, “I don’t like her because she’s still here and she’s not a good enough dancer.” Every time I’ve opened my mouth about Bristol, I’ve been nothing but supportive…For her to come out on Monday night and totally smear my name the way she did, that’s just completely uncalled for…I have no idea where she got it from, but wherever she got it from, shame on her and shame on whoever told her that.
Maksim also added that he doesn’t care who wins at this point but he is rooting for Kyle Massey.
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON MAKSIM’S COMMENTS? IS DWTS’ SYSTEM FLAWED?
Despite being in the top 2 for most of the season, singer Brandy, 31, and her dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiyfell short last night as they were eliminated from the dance competition just a week before the finals. Elimination is based on both judges scores and viewer votes.
Just how shocking was Brandy’s elimination? Well for one, you could hear a collective gasp as well as some loud boos coming from the audience. Even Bristol Palin, who advanced to the finals despite receiving the lowest scores for 7 straight weeks, looked stunned following the announcement that she was safe.
“I don’t know how to feel right now. It hasn’t processed yet for me,” said a visibly stunned and emotional Brandy right after hearing the news.
“I am numb,” Brandy told UsWeekly after the show. “I mean, I gave it everything I had. And I don’t have any regrets at all. I’m so proud of me, and I say that humbly.”
As for Maks, he seemed to take the news better, perhaps being that he is used to the routine by now. “The fact that people vote and their voices count. I love the fact that this show represents that, represents the people’s choice,” he said.
However, the next comment Maks made now has some people wondering if this will be his last season on DWTS. “I don’t regret a second of the last five years of my being on the show and definitely not a second of me being on this season. It’s been an amazing journey.”
Thoughts – While Bristol has vastly improved through the season, no one can argue that Brandy deserved to be in the finals much more than Bristol. I ask again, why is Bristol even on the show? What exactly is her accomplishment? I honestly feel bad for Bristol as she shouldn’t even be on the show to begin with. She is not a “star,” not even a reality star. And now, she is simply being used as a pawn in a dance contest that has turned political.
People are obviously voting for her to make a statement. Let’s face it, while she seems like a nice girl, she doesn’t have the charm, personality or charisma of Kyle Massey, who has won the hearts of viewers. Plus with the exception of the last 2 weeks, Bristol seemed all but over the show. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Bristol won as that would definitely make the ultimate “statement.”
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON BRANDY’S ELIMINATION & BRISTOL MAKING THE FINALS?
The stars had to perform two dances each last night, while also having to do a brief solo performance during their first dance number. The story of the night was the perfect score received byJennifer Grey and partner Derek Hough, not once, but twice! Jennifer first received all 10s for her cha cha cha in addition to a standing ovation. And for the second dance of the night, she also received a perfect score of 30 for her waltz. “It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen,” said judge Carrie Ann Inaba.
Coming in second and third place wereKyle Massey and Brandy in that order. Kyle continued to impress receiving two scores of 29 for both of his dances. A point behind Kyle was Brandy and partner Maksim. Brandy received a total score of 57 for both of her dances, earning a perfect score of 30 for her feisty Argentine tango.
In last place for the seventh week in a row was Bristol Palin though she did receive high scores for her dances. A total of 53 for the night. Many are wondering if Bristol will sneak into the finals next week as the general consensus seems to be she is still in the competition due to the votes she is receiving from fans of her mother Sarah Palin. Sarah is also now a reality star thanks to her new TLC show Sarah Palin’s Alaska, which reportedly scored very high ratings with over 5 million viewers tuning into the Sunday night premiere.
For the second week in a row on Dancing With The Stars, teen activist Bristol Palin was the lowest scoring contestant, and for the second week in a row, Bristol was safe from elimination.
The latest star to be eliminated? Former NFL player Kurt Warner, though to be fair, only a point separated Kurt and Bristol’s Monday night scores.
“You know, I learned a long time ago that life isn’t always about winning and losing competitions,” Kurt said, “but it’s about relationships, it’s about impacting people—and so I thank everybody at Dancing With the Stars because it gave me an opportunity to impact people and build relationships. So that’s really what it’s all about.”
Kurt also went on to thank his partner Anna Trebunskaya, the fans, his wife and his “seven wonderful kids at home.”
With Kurt’s elimination, the remaining four stars — Brandy, Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey, and Bristol Palin — move on to next week’s semifinals.
TELL US – OUT OF THE REMAINING 4 CONTESTANTS, WHO DESERVES THE MIRROR BALL TROPHY?
For the second week in a row, Jennifer Grey and Brandy tied for first place. Jennifer however had a slight edge after earning the first perfect score, a 30, of the season for doing her rumba instant dance. And though there were some complaints about the change in rules last night for the second dances (the couples did not receive their music until about 45 minutes before they had to dance) it seems most of the stars excelled under pressure.
Tying for first place with Jennifer was Brandy, who also received a total score of 57 for her two dances. Brandy and her partner Maksim first received a 29 for their waltz. “It was like a symphony – it was like a poem,” gushed Bruno Tonioli. The duo then received a score of 28 for their cha cha instant dance to Kate Perry’s “Teenage Dreams.”
At the bottom of the leader board for the second week in a row was Bristol Palin and partner Mark Ballas. Despite receiving some decent scores for both of her dances, a total of 47 points, Bristol is still at the biggest risk of being voted off on tonight’s results show.
The full scores from last night below –
Brandy & Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 57 (29, 28) Jennifer Grey & Derek Hough 57 (27, 30) Kyle Massey & Lacey Schwimmer: 56 (27, 29) Bristol Palin & Mark Ballas 47 (24, 23) Kurt Warner & Anna Trebunskaya 48 (24, 24)
