ABC has announced the cast ofBachelor in Paradise – well, there are some familiar faces, though not as many old schoolBachelor Pad fame whores as I was expecting, and some not-so-familiar faces. I honestly had to look up two of the "biggest stars" because I couldn't remember who they are.
Per the press release: "Some of Bachelor's biggest stars and villains are back. They all left theBachelor or theBachelorettewith broken hearts, but now they know what it really takes to find love, and on Bachelor in Paradise they'll get a second chance to find their soul mates."
Is Chris Bukowski in love with this season Bachelorette or is he just in love with being on the Bachelor franchise? Despite what he says, I'm going to go with the latter. First, he was a contestant on Emily Maynard's season. Next, he made the rounds (literally) on Bachelor Pad. Now, Chris is garnering attention for crashing the first cocktail party of Andi Dorfman's season.
Claiming he camped outside the mansion for a week (I don't buy it, ABC), Chris Harrison announced upon Chris' arrival, "We have a party crasher. He's been on the show before." And I'm sure he'll be on it again. And again and again and again.
With less than a week until season ten of the Bachelorettekicks off, ABC has released the photos/bios of the 25 bachelors vying for Andi Dorfman's heart.
"Andi, 26, has it all at first glance – her loving family, her great friends, and her dream job [as an Assistant District Attorney]," said ABC. "But she realized there was something missing. So, last September, she put her busy life on hold to try and find love on the Bachelor. She thought she had found her match, but in the end it was not meant to be, and Andi walked away from Juan Pablo Galavis. Andi did not, however, let that experience stop her desire to find her perfect soul mate." The Bachelorette returns Monday, May 19.
AmongAndi's bachelors is Eric Hill, who passed away on April 23 following a paragliding accident. Season ten will be dedicated to Eric, andChris Harrison will honor him in an encore presentation of the premiere on Thursday, May 22. Mike Fleiss said about Eric, "We're all just devastated. He was such a vibrant young dude. He was. It's tragic."
The Bachelorette is dealing with something the reality franchise has never head to deal with before — the tragic accidental death of contestant, Eric Hill, who is featured on the new season that has yet to air.
Bachelor and Bachelorette host, Chris Harrison spoke to People magazine about how they are dealing with his shocking death and what we can expect on this season, featuring assistant district attorney, Andi Dorfman.
ABC crushed my trashy TV loving heart when Bachelor Pad was canceled last summer. I mean, the only reason to watch Bachelor and Bachelorette, which are both beyond stale, the past several years was to anticipate who will end up on the sleaze fest called Bachelor Pad.
On Friday, ABC shared its plan to launch a new Bachelor spinoff, Bachelor in Paradise, this summer. Paradise?!? Like Love in the Wild or Paradise Hotel or Temptation Island? I'm listening, ABC…
Press surrounding the Bachelorisn't all roses lately.
In January, Juan Pablo Galavis stated a gay Bachelor wouldn't set a "good example for kids"… because why? He said, "they're more pervert in a sense." Juan went on to blame his poor choice of words on his sketchy English. Earlier this week,Chris Harrison added that a gay Bachelor probably would not be a good business decision for ABC.
Also? Chubby guys need not apply to be the Bachelor.
It's time for he said/she said courtesy of the Bachelor! After a midnight ocean tryst, this season's Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis started back pedaling–and shaming–his partner in passion. Now Clare Crawley (is she still vying for his attention? I'd have been totally out of there!) is telling her side of the story.
Of course, despite her toast to "making love" and Chris Harrison's hint that the two may have diddled, Clare is setting the record straight. They did not do the deed. Can you imagine the sand in the nether regions? While I'm not sure she's all that convincing, I do think that Juan Pablo handled the situation like a giant bag of skeeze.
So, that Juan Pablo Galavis…he's kind of a sex shamer, isn't he? After getting down (and perhaps dirty) after hours with contestant Clare Crawley, who'd received a rose on Monday night's group date, the Bachelorkind of made her (and America) feel icky in the most dramatic awkward shaming in the show's history. Ever.
What's worse? Everyone keeps talking about it…and of course, by everyone, I mean the show's glorious host Chris Harrison and Juan Pablo himself. Seriously, JP just needs to keep quiet for a while. Chris, talk away, my friend!
