"Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world, she took a town car to crash the White House correspondents dinner…Just a city boy, born and raised in Oklahoma (I googled it!), he stole a faux cheerleader from a swindling wine maker." I know the guys from Journey are devastated that they didn't enlist me to help them write their songs.
Sometimes I miss seeing Michaele Salahi and her gnome ex-husband Tareq in the tabloids. They provided so much entertainment during their stint on Real Housewives of D.C. There was that minor national security issue, coupled with Michaele claiming (among other things) that she was a former NFL cheerleader and suffered from M.S. The quintessential cherry on top, however, was when Michaele ran off with Journey member Neal Schon right under her husband's nose, leading him to think she'd been kidnapped. You just cannot make up this stuff!
It was a divorce made in TMZ-heaven for former Real Housewives of DC White House crashers and total wackies Michaele and Tareq Salahi, but the notorious famewhores have finally and officially ended their tumultuous marriage!
Aaaaahhh… remember the good ol’ days of their crazy antics? Michaele has finally flown the coop and is now legally permitted to marry Journey guitarist Neal Schon (Yeah, those two publicity seekers are still together!) – hopefully they won’t be purchasing anymore lingerie in front of the waiting eyes of the paparazzi they hired!
Anyway, Michaele and Tareq resolved things. “I am thrilled with the resolution of this case and to close this chapter in my life and now move forward in a positive manner,” Tareq told E! News.
Because reality stars (past and present) thrive on attention of any kind, they’re always in the press. Good or bad! Here’s a round-up of what’s been happening as of late.
The formerReal Housewives of DC stars have had an eventful week. Perhaps they’re coordinating press releases for maximum exposure!
Up first, Mary Amons filed for divorce from husband Rich Amons. She announced her split from her husband of 26 years on Facebook! “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my twenty-six year marriage. While I have the deepest respect for my husband and wish him the very best, we have grown apart,” Mary wrote.
She then added that she wants privacy during this difficult time – which is why she publicized it on Facebook, right? What this means is that every single member of the former RHODC cast is now a single lady. Perhaps Bravo can do a former Real Housewives dating show?

Does anyone remember Tareq Salahi? One-half of the infamous White House-crashing, Bravo grifters? And remember when his wife, former Real Housewives of DC trainwreck, Michaele Salahi, ran off with Journey guitarist Neal Schon? And Tareq reported her missing to TMZ? And remember when Tareq tried to auction off Micahele’s underwear? And then he said Michaele’s disappearance had killed his dog and sabotaged his career, so he wanted them to give him $17 million dollars? And then he spent every single day giving a certain media site exclusives–like the time Neal supposedly emailed him a photo of his penis just to torment him? And then she accused him of abuse? And they filed for divorce from each other? Then, remember when Tareq sued Neal for $50 Million dollars, claiming he ruined his life? And we all laughed?
Yeah… Well, apparently, a judge agrees with the rest of the world about how completely absurd, ridiculous, and stupid that so-called lawsuit is, because according to E! News Warren County, VA Circuit Court Judge Dennis Hupop ruled that the lawsuit (which Tareq appropriately filed on Valentine’s Day) is “not legally sufficient.”
Oops, well that’s unfortunate! I guess Tareq’s latest scheme just didn’t pan out… I’m sure there’s plenty more to come…
WAS TAREQ’S LAWSUIT BASELESS? WHAT DO YOU THINK HE’LL TRY NEXT?
The drama began last year after Michaele, formerReal Housewives of DC star, decided to leave the “controlling” Tareq to runoff with Journey member Neal. In the $50 million lawsuit Tareq filed this week, he is claiming Neal is responsible for ruining some of the business endeavors he had with Michaele, by stealing his wife from him!
TMZ reported some of those deals included $150k to participate on the Australian version of DWTS as well as some other TV offers. But obviously like herpes and Paris Hilton white on rice, Michaele and Tareq are a package deal, and the TV networks didn’t want one without the other!
In an interview with E! Online, Michaele first defends her new man, stating he is NOT to blame for the demise of her marriage with Tareq. “It’s between Tareq and I, and the marriage is over because of the control I went through with him,” she says, adding that she felt very trapped in the marriage. “It really just needs to be, ‘This didn’t work, wish each other the best and move on with our lives.”
Neal also responded to Tareq’s claims that he tortured him with his penis by a) sending him a photo of it, and b) calling him to tell him “I was f–king your wife.”
The Journey guitarist makes it clear that he “never tormented” Tareq and when it comes to the $50 mil lawsuit figure, Neal reveals he “doesn’t have a clue” as to how Tareq came up with that number. “I could use an extra $50 [million] if somebody wants to lend it to me,” jokes Neal.
Neal adds that at the end of the day, all he really cares about is Michaele! “You can try to do whatever you wanna do, take every cent that I have, but you can’t take the love that I have for her,” he says. How romantical.
“Neal cares about me and loves me so much that he hated to see me hurting,” Michaele states. “And I’m grateful that he protects me and pulls me out of that hurt.”
And when it comes to Michaele’s gross participation in Journey’s new music video for their song “Resonate,” Tareq tells E! he is “hurt” by it. He adds: “. I am also very troubled that the rock band Journey is now promoting my wife’s adulterous affair with Neal Schon. I am especially upset and disappointed that they would release this video on Valentine’s Day. This day is meant to celebrate lifetime love and commitments, not celebrate those who cheat and abandon their marriages.”
Doesn’t appear to be an end in sight to this ongoing soap opera!

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE LATEST? DO YOU THINK TAREQ HAS A CASE AGAINST MICHAELE AND NEAL? IS IT TIME FOR HIM TO MOVE ON?
I don’t know about you, but I miss MichaeleandTareq Salahi. Best known for crashing a White House State Dinner in 2009, they can be blamed for the cancellation of the ill-fated Real Housewives of D.C., a franchise that was noted for its lack of drama and for the higher IQ points of their cast members. The remaining housewives refused to film if Michaele was kept on the cast, and Bravo, knowing that only she would bring the drama (and the LOLs) promptly went ahead and eliminated the show from their schedule.
Never daunted by anything, the Salahis continued their reign of fame-whoredom. She even made an appearance on Celebrity Rehab, until she was kicked out for not actually having an addiction. Since then, the pair have only been in the news due to Michale and Tareq’s divorce, which in their usual fashion, happened in a truly ridiculous manner.
Michaele left Tareq for Journey guitarist Neal Schon, a relationship she called a “fairy tale.” Let’s not forget she ran off with Neal, after Tareq reported her missing (after calling his pals at TMZ, of course), when in reality she had finally had enough of Tareq’s BS. Proving he’s made of nothing but class, Tareq found solace in the mesh arms of Michael Lohan.
So, it was no surprise at all to see Tareq gracing the front page of TMZ yet again with a new attention-grabbing scheme. This time, he has filed a lawsuit against Neal for $50 million dollars. He’s been talking about this lawsuit for a while now, and has finally filed in it in his home state of Virginia.
I’m ashamed to say that the lawsuit (kinda) makes some sense: Tareq claims that he and Michaele had a few business and television offers on the table, which were no longer available to him after his divorce (the Salahis are a package deal, after all). While I believe the Salahis probably did have offers for things like opening up a 7-11 or celebrity wrestling, I don’t believe, as Tareq claims, that Dancing With The Stars was ever a realistic offer. But, still, Tareq kinda has a point here.
In a more disturbing piece of news, Tareq also alleges that Neal sent him a photo of his penis, and also called to let him know, “I’m f**king your wife.” Tareq called it, “a metaphorical slap in the face.”
Tareq is suing Neal for “emotional distress, conspiracy to defame, interfering with a contract and defamation” and as an extra-special bonus, he wants $450k in punitive damages.
We wish Tareq the best of luck in his penis picture lawsuit. Michaele on the other hand, seems pretty content being a rock-star girlfriend and the pair even showed off their true love in the following video for Journey‘s song, Resonate. I must warn you that you shouldn’t eat while watching the video. You might get sick or ruin your computer when you bust out laughing at the sight of Michaele walking down the beach pensively in sepia-tone. Or when you see her and Neal swapping spit on the sand. You’ve been warned!

Tareq Salahi presents himself as the depressed and abandoned victim of a cruel adulteress after his wife Michaele Salahi ditched him for the much richer and more famous Journey guitarist Neal Schon.
Well, sources are telling The Huffington Post that the former Real Housewives of DC househusband isn’t as badly off as he would like the public to believe. Insiders are revealing that Tareq is making quite the hefty profit off his schtick as the woebegone hubby and has made an estimated $100,000 in interviews alone since Michaele publicly left him in September.
And he apparently anticipates making much more — particularly since he filed a $17M lawsuit against the high-flying new couple claiming they “profited unfairly off Tareq’s misery… and sabotaged his career in the process” after “publicly humiliating him with their torrid affair.” Does his lawyer need to start writing scripts for Revenge or what!?
“Tareq emailed me days after Michaele left saying Neal was going to suffer huge from this financially and that we needed to figure out how to make millions off of [the split],” a source close to Tareq reveals.
The source adds,”Tareq was the controlling and the calculating one. Everyone close to Michaele is very happy she got away from him.” Indeed, Michaele has accused Tareq of abuse and psychotic manipulations in divorce filings urging a judge to expedite their legal separation because she was afraid of Tareq. Even their former RHODC co-star Stacie Turner has commented that Tareq seemed controlling towards Michaele.
Tareq obviously wasn’t going to take these allegations lightly and retaliated by accusing Michaele of being a “well-known and documented liar” that fabricated her past as a Redskins Cheerleader and misled the public into believing she suffered from M.S.
But insiders are claiming it was Tareq who called the shots in their marriage and used Michaele to generate income. “When they were together, Michaele was not allowed to handle any of her own business dealings,” the source adds. “Tareq would do anything for money, and now that Michaele is gone, he lost his paycheck and is desperate. Tareq put his own divorce documents in the press just so he could comment for money.”
Tareq, of course, denies he has anything to do with the leaked documents — yet one has to wonder as the alleged grifter seems to be a daily staple on sites such as TMZ.
Not only does Tareq deny he is leaking divorce information, he is highly incensed that anyone would assume he is making bank from his wife playing him for a fool! “I don’t know how anyone can profit from a divorce,” Tareq scoffs.
And as to be expected, he is placing all the blame on his soon-to-be-ex-wife! “Michaele destroyed us, and the truth is she is selling interviews which, in fact, will be proved once all the emails and texts are subpoenaed.” Oh for love of all things decent!
Now, Tareq happily awaits vindication once his lawsuit against Neal and Michaele heads to court (presuming any judge would take it seriously in the first place!). “I can’t wait for the jury trial and to close this painful chapter in my life,” Tareq laments.
Well, we can’t wait to hear what any legal professional of sound mind has to say about all of this either, Tareq!
