I think it's safe to say that Apollo Nida and Kenya Moore won't be working together anytime in the near future.
Kenya calls outReal Housewives of Atlanta's Apollo for being an immature liar, slamming his obvious disrespect for his marriage to Phaedra Parks, among other things. "Watching Apollo repeatedly say he 'could have slept with me if he wanted to' and seeing the way he behaves in his marriage just reminds me of how immature, disrespectful, and dishonest he is to his wife, marriage, and in life. Leopards don’t change their spots. Lying landed him in prison. His mouth says one thing, but reality and his character speak volumes: If he could have, he would have. I’m done with this."
Real Housewives of Atlanta'sKandi Burruss has always been one of the more mild-mannered, level-headed, successful in her own right outside of Bravo members of the franchise. Sure, she likes to stir the pot every now and then, but she usually remains impartial and even tempered.
I was hoping we'd get to watch Kandi enjoy her engagement to fiancee Todd Tucker on this season. It would be a nice change of pace from Kenya Moore's fan foolishness and her overexposed text triangle with Phaedra Parks' husband Apollo Nida. Alas, even Kandi's story line is tainted with negativity. I'd say she should leave the drama to her mama, but unfortunately, that's exactly what's happening!
A Mother's Love, which is based loosely on Kandi's own life, debuted at Atlanta's Rialto Center for the Arts on Friday. "Though things are exaggerated, you will see moments of my life in the musical," Kandi tells BroadwayWorld.com. Kandi is both the writer and the star of the play which also features a bevy of musical heavyweights.
"Writing A Mother's Love has been therapy for me in many ways. I've had to focus and not only co-write the script which is loosely about my life but have also written twenty (20) songs for the play in a very short amount of time which has allowed me to unload a lot of emotions inside of me," the Real Housewives of Atlanta star explains. The title is ironic given Kandi's own recent issues with her mother Joyce who openly disapproves of her relationship with Todd.
A Mother's Love is the story of a complicated relationship between a mother and daughter, focusing on a mother's difficulty to let her daughter make choices in her own love life. Hmmm… semi-autographical, Kandi? Or basically this is your life!
Kandi admits it was the network's decision to cancel her show. "To be honest, we didn't really have a final conversation," Kandi tells Jasmine Brand. "They were like, 'Why did you tell people that it wasn't being re-upped?' They didn't tell me that but I kinda just assumed since we hadn't been talking about it. So I was like, 'I guess we're not doing it.'"
There's been a rumor going around that the cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta went on vacation together to celebrate Kandi Burruss's wedding to fiance Todd Tucker. We were all excited like is that the season finale? We thought Kandi wasn't getting married on TV? Is RHOA ever going to stop filming?!
TGIF, y'all! It's time for some Real Housewivves of Atlanta news before the weekend commences. You know that Cynthia Bailey? She's a doll. No seriously (just keep reading)! Kandi Burruss chats about her upcoming vows with RHOA producer Todd Tucker, and we've got the latest name that's been thrown in the hat for next season's newbie!
According to NASDAQ (yeah, we read more than just 'loids around here!), the One World Doll Project has partnered with Cynthia to create her mini-me. That's right. She's going to be a collectors' item.
