Heidi Montag and hubby of just a year, Spencer Pratt, have called it quits.
According to TMZ, Heidi has left her controlling husband. “Heidi is looking to move out due to all the fake bad press that Spencer controls,” confirms a rep for Heidi, 23. “She’s tired of it and is looking for a place and wants to focus on her acting career.”
Another source close to the couple tells TMZ the tension in the relationship the Hills’ stars has been building for a while now … “It wasn’t just a sudden thing.”
And as for the reason for the split? Well, sources tell TMZ it is because Heidi felt she was being held hostage after Spencer alienated her from all her friends and family. Apparently, the straw that broke the camel’s back was when Spencer decided to call the cops on Heidi’s mom just earlier this month, when she showed up to their house unannounced.
Now the question on my mind and I’m sure also on the minds of other readers is that is this real or is this just another one of their attention whoring publicity stunts? To put things into context, this is the same couple who called the cops on Heidi’s mother just two weeks ago, and decided having 10 surgeries in one day was a good way to garner publicity.
Plus get this, Heidi has allegedly moved out of her house with Spencer, and is moving in with her friend Jennifer Bunney. The shocker is however that Heidi and Jennifer have already secured a deal for a reality show about their lives and friendship.
“Heidi and I are moving into a Malibu beach house this summer,” said Jennifer to RadarOnline. “We’re really excited to do girly things and show people who we really are and that we’re really fun, sweet and loyal girls.”
So there you have it folks, Heidi announces her split from Spencer and already has a reality show in the works that will chronicle her new life without Spencer. Something about this is starting to smell like another one of their publicity stunts, but let’s all hope she has really left the douchebag known as Spencer Pratt.
