Is everyone’s favorite Skinnygirl a pot head – or just a savvy businesswoman?! Bethenny Frankel has conquered the alcohol industry and now rumor has it she is branching out into another famous vice: marijuana!
Last month the Real Housewives Of New York star was snapped coming out Green Dragon Dispensary in Aspen, CO – which is a premium retailer of marijuana and accompanying paraphernalia – and considered a pioneer in the legal pot world. Bethenny later tweeted that she couldn’t believe it was legal.

“OMG it’s the craziest thing to see marijuana legal in Aspen,” Bethenny tweeted. “People walking into pot stores like it’s the @Gap #prohibitiondone” Apparently that got Bethenny’s business mind thinking… there is an industry here! A Skinnygirl product just waiting to happen…
Yes, everyone knows weed gives you the munchies. But a source tells TMZ that Bethenny is currently working on a deal to manufacture a brand-new kind of marijuana that doesn’t give you the munchies! And that trip to Aspen was actually “market research” for the pioneering product she is hoping to launch.
Bethenny plans to sell her deluxe Skinnygirl weed in states where it’s legal, of course, which currently does not include her home state of New York. Of course, legislation is on the books to get marijuana legalized (or at least decriminalized) in the empire state, so Bethenny could really be onto something huge in terms of making bank!
And since Bethenny is reportedly going to have to shell out big to Jason Hoppy in her divorce over her Skinnygirl alcohol deal, she’s gonna need another huge business venture. And think of the storyline this could be for Bravo! Bethenny owns the rights to the Skinnygirl name and brand, and still owns a stake in the booze division which she famously sold to Jim Beam, a deal brokered with the help of her ex-hubby. The recent explosion of SG products is said to be a result of Bethenny feeling the pinching of pennies in her pricey divorce.
Of course, this whole Bethenny produces Skinnygirl pot thing could just be that: a RHONY storyline. And what a fun one. Haha. You can see a photo of Bethenny leaving the pot dispensary on TMZ.
