A Vicki Gunvalson App Is On The Way!

Vicki defends her role in Kill All Cancer

I am aware that Vicki Gunvalson is great at selling insurance, but none of her attempts at “business ventures” ever seem to work out. I have no idea why she doesn’t stick to what she knows instead of thinking that she isn’t too polarizing to sell anything other than insurance. After the failed ventures that include diamonds, a wine venture, bacon flavored vodka brand and a suspicious cancer charity, Vicki announced that she is going to launch her own app.

Why? Can’t she just continue arguing with people on Real Housewives of Orange County and providing people with insurance with the occasional sponsored Instagram post in between? Apparently not. Vicki thinks that people want to turn to her for life advice on a daily basis.

I hate being a hater, but there’s no way that this is going to go well. Aside from the steady business success, has anyone ever looked at Vicki and thought “She has the kind of life I would love to live?” I would give away my limbs to be a Real Housewives cast member, but if I had to model myself after any of them it would not be Vicki, so I just cannot imagine what wisdom she would have to impart in an app. If she was planning to talk shit about her RHOC costars and send out blasts in a Gossip Girl fashion, I would be all in with this idea. Unfortunately that’s not the case.

In a video on her Instagram page, Vicki announced “I’m coming up with a Vicki app. It’s going to be stuff about cooking, my house, my grand babies, business, tax preparation.” Oh joy…. She also described her app by saying it would include “just a lot of great things.” How clear and informative.

She also told her social media followers that she wants their input. Vicki said, “I would like to see what you would like to see from me.” You know what I would want to learn from Vicki? Where to party in Mexico, how to move on without apologizing, pointers for throwing a friend under the bus, and tips to befriend my enemy’s enemies. Those are some things that Vicki could teach me how to do.

Vicki also made a desperate plea to get more Instagram followers: “I’ve got to get to a million followers, so help me out, bye.” I don’t blame her. I would also like a million followers on social media- preferably Twitter- but I have to assume that most of the people who actually hit play on that video were already following Vicki.

It will be interesting to see if Vicki’s app fails after it launches or if it crashes before it even goes up in the App Store.
