Like it or not, The Real Housewives of Potomac is back for a third season. After two tepid seasons, the ladies are back for round three. Hopefully third time is the charm.
Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, and Monique Samuels will be back as full-time cast members. Charrisse Jackson-Jordan got demoted (or has some excuse about why she’s taking more time for herself) and is now a “Friend of the Housewives.” And of course there’s a new girl that Gizelle is bound to hate on: Candiace Dillard, a former Miss United States.
According to a press release from NBC Universal the show will return to Bravo on Sunday April 1. The press release teases, “betrayal, family ultimatums, accusations, and open marriages are taking over the rumor mill of Potomac, and everyone is talking.” Let’s hope so. Obviously I hope that all of them are ultimately OK, but I hope that they really bring it this season. No matter how good the show is, I’m still going to watch it, but I would prefer to watch a dynamic and interesting show than a group of women reaching for story-lines and meme-worthy quotes.
As expected, Karen is still living beyond her means and denying her debt. Ashley and Michael Darby are “working to get back on track” after she announced their separation during the Season 2 reunion.
After two seasons of being single, Gizelle revealed at the reunion that she has a man and they are still together. Monique and her husband Chris Samuels are officially Potomac residents and debating having another baby. And of course, Robyn and her ex-husband Juan Dixon are still living out their confusing non-relationship situation.
