Joe Giudice Gets Temporary Victory In Attempt To Stop Deportation

Who knew serving three years in federal prison for financial fraud would be the LEAST stressful thing to happen in your life? Now, I’m not saying serving the sentence wasn’t stressful. I am saying that Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Joe Giudice would most likely want to do anything else than fight for his ability to stay in the country with his family.

However, a recent court ruling offers a glimmer of hope for Joe, wife Teresa Giudice, and his family as a judge has ordered a temporary stay in Joe’s deportation process.

According to a post in the Daily NewsJoe’s “last chance appeal” worked as a judge issued a ruling in his favor.  “Removal is stayed until such time as the court can consider the motion for stay of removal,” a court record stated.

It looks as though the courts are willing to give Joe’s case another look.   And the government is expected to “file a response by next week.”  Joe will have the opportunity to respond before a decision on the motion is made. It may not amount to much, but I’m sure his family is keeping their fingers crossed.

After serving his time, Joe was immediately detained by ICE and placed in detention pending his deportation.  Ever since then he has been fighting to stay.  Joe filed an appeal with The Board of Immigration Appeals which was denied.   Which then led to his attorneys filing with the federal courts.

His family has also made pleas with the public, and even the President, for help. Milania Giudice sent a plea to President Trump to pardon her father. His eldest, Gia Giudice recently joined her sister in asking the public for help. “…he is a warm loving man and I beg you sign our petition to give my father a second chance at being part of our lives…” Gia wrote on the petition she had created on Change.org which, at the time this article was written, has gained over 57,000 signatures.

I’m not saying he does or doesn’t deserve to be deported. But I don’t think the court will rule in his favor.  The court will review everything he files, and will give him every opportunity to make his argument, but the decision has already been made.
