90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After Recap: Drawing the Line

The theme of last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After was apologize after acting completely insane and maybe the other person will forget. I’m sorry unless you had proof you were possessed, there is no excuse for some of these people’s behavior. Sorry, but you would have to do more than just apologize, for me to even want to speak to you again. Especially when you have not only disrespected me, but my family as well.

Larissa Dos Santos Lima faces her final court date. Elizabeth Potthast deals with the aftermath of Andrei Castravets blow up. Asuelu Pulaa finally stands his ground. Colt Johnson worries his relationship with Jess Caroline is over. Michael Ilesanmi ‘s family believes Angela Deem may not be a suitable wife for him. Let’s get straight into the 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After recap!

Elizabeth (Tampa, FL) & Andrei (Moldova)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drawing the Line

Elizabeth pleads with Andrei to apologize to her family after the shit show of a dinner where he tried to fight her brother, Charlie. After some urging, he agrees to apologize if his wife facilitates the discussion and her family apologizes as well. Umm… yea, no! If my dad flew to another country last minute and was paying for my SECOND wedding, he doesn’t support, my husband better respect him. Especially when Andrei relies on the job his wife has working for her father, so he can continue to be a stay-at-home dad.

Elizabeth finally goes to speak to her family at their fabulous Airbnb to talk about the Moldovan elephant in the room. Her dad, Chuck is still in disbelief that Andrei waited until he was in his own country to show his true colors. Although Andrei has made his disdain for his in-laws clear, he has never insulted them to this extreme. Charlie is still confused about why he was so upset about him inquiring about his past.

Chuck gives his daughter an ultimatum. Unless Andrei agrees to apologize and change his behavior, he and his wallet are leaving Moldova. Good! I was wondering when Chuck would finally put his foot down.

Andrei meets with Chuck and Charlie to apologize. But he makes one mistake. He admits in the beginning of the conversation, it was Elizabeth who urged him to do so. Chuck immediately sees through his bullshit and thinks he is only apologizing so he doesn’t stop paying for the wedding.  Bingo!

Andrei emphatically denies having ulterior motives and claims he just wants to “square things up.” Boy, please!  You realized that your dream of living a life of leisure is in hanging in the balance because you have pissed off your sugar daddy.  Chuck eventually backs down and agrees to stay in Moldova. Andrei’s actions will prove if he is actually sincere. Personally, after he told me to pack my shit and leave, there would be nothing else for us to discuss.

Angela (Hazlehurst, Georgia) and Michael (Nigeria)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drawing the Line

As a requirement to get married in Nigeria, Michael and Angela must go for pre-marital counseling. Apparently, there are three options for the type of marriage you can decide to enter into. The first two choices would allow Michael to have more than one wife. Angela bellows that she agreeing to a side chick or a side wife under any circumstances. Angela, you better check that marriage certificate to ensure you are entering into the type of marriage you asked for. If anyone has seen her behavior, they may decide to do Michael a favor and slip in an extra wife or so.

Michael takes Angela to meet with his aunt Lydia to discuss their wedding. Things are going well until Angela makes it clear she has no intention to be submissive to her husband. When Michael tries to explain he wants to retain some aspects of his culture in his marriage, Angela becomes very defensive. She immediately calls him out for telling her one thing while saying another to his family. Duh, the man is afraid of your wrath!

Once again Angela threatens to not marry Michael and screams in his face. After witnessing Angela’s behavior, Lydia no longer believes this woman is a good match for her nephew. If she treats him this way in Nigeria, what does he expect in America? Michael, it is really hard watching you get abused on national television every week. If you are staying with Angela under duress, blink twice on the next 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After episode and your rescue will be arranged! You don’t have to settle for a life of being controlled in every way and eating possum pies, if that isn’t your true desire.

Colt (Las Vegas, Nevada) & his mom Debbie ex-wife Larissa (Brazil)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drawing the Line

Although Larissa is still upset with Eric Nichols, she sees no issue with continuing to squat in his apartment.  These two are crazy! After all of that drama, I would have not only dumped Larissa, but her bags would have been on the street as well. I want to be clear; I don’t think it was right that Eric spoke badly about her after they broke up.  But who hasn’t said negative things about their ex at some point?

After calming down through the night, Eric and Larissa apologize to each other over breakfast. He even decides to prolong his torture by asking her to stay with him.  I guess some people like gluttons for punishment. These two went from threatening each other with the police to getting back together in two seconds. Sigh! At this point, they deserve each other.

Larissa meets with her lawyer to discuss the status of her domestic violence case. Her charge was amended down to disorderly conduct and now her case is closed. Despite the win, she is still concerned about how her arrest will affect her immigration case. Her lawyer warns her to stay out of trouble and avoid any type of toxic behavior. Too late! It was just a day ago that she was stealing phones and being threatened with the police.

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drawing the Line

Just when Colt thought it was safe, Jess barges back into the room at 2am screaming her head off. He is so scared by her volatile behavior, he flees the room. After sleeping separately, he returns in the morning to speak with her. Both are at a standstill in the conversation. Jess is still stuck on him lying about his friend, Vanessa Guerra.  Colt is upset that she attacked him over it, she immediately apologizes when Colt mentions that her behavior reminds him of his ex-wife Larissa. I’m sorry Colt, but there are way too many red flags with this woman. She wants to get married at warp speed and has a red hot temper.

Personally, if I witnessed her sticking her hand in my mom’s face and cursing at her, that would have been it for me. But we all know that Colt is blinded by lust, so it will take much more for him to walk away from a warm bed.

Despite their huge fight, Jess accompanies Debbie Johnson and Colt to the airport. Debbie is not happy to see operation break them up hasn’t been successful in driving her arch nemesis away. Within minutes of being in the cab, Debbie can’t take the silence and wants to address the drama. The ride is tense, but Jess dismisses her behavior to just being upset about Colt lying.

At the airport, Colt pulls Jess aside to say goodbye and Debbie can be heard in the background begging God for him not to propose. Luckilyy for her, Colt only invites Jess to Las Vegas to meet his cats. Sigh! Honestly, I am sick of both of them. Jess has anger issues and Colt is desperate.

Tania (Colchester, Connecticut) and Syngin (South Africa)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drawing the Line

Syngin Colchester meets with his friends to catch up at the local bar. Cue Tania Maduro crying and calling him a drunk in 5.4.3.2.1. His friends immediately point out how “fat” he has gotten since moving to the United States. The topic quickly changes to Syngin’s marriage, which we all know is literally hanging on by a string.

Syngin still has doubts if he made the right decision by moving and getting married so quickly. He even admits that he could see himself moving back to South Africa. It speaks volumes that after all this time, he still isn’t sure if wants to be in a long term relationship. Tania, girl, your marriage is in danger! You may want to stop whining if you want to keep your man. That constant nagging would make even the nicest guy want to run for the hills.

Kalani (Orange County, CA) and Asuelu (Samoa)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drawing the Line

Asuelu returns to his family’s home to try to talk to them one more time, after their disastrous dinner. This time he comes with gifts in hand with the hopes of having a serious discussion. His sister is under the impression that his wife, Kalani Faagata  is the reason her brother refuses to give the family money. I guess the fact that he only works part-time and has a family is totally going over their heads. When he realizes no matter what he says, they will believe that his wife is to blame, he decides to just leave. His mom begs him not to go, but at this point, he feels defeated. I am so proud of Asuelu. I have to be honest, I thought he would fold under the pressure and throw Kalani under the bus.

Asuelu and Kalani bring the kids to meet with his mom at a goat farm. He still hasn’t told his wife that his family blames her for the reason he doesn’t support them. When Kalani leaves to tend to the baby, he speaks with his mother alone about what happened the night before. She still doesn’t understand that he can’t afford any extra expenses now that he has a family.

Asuelu becomes so emotional about the situation when he sees a group of homeless people by the farm. He begins to cry thinking about taking anything away from his children. Kalani is shocked that her mother-in-law still expects to be honored with money. I understand it is a tradition, but clearly, he isn’t making a lot of money working part-time at a minimum wage job. I’m sure things would be different if his financial situation changes and he has money to spare. This whole situation makes me sad. Asuelu just wants a close relationship with his family like his wife.

Paul (Louisville, Kentucky) & Karine (Brazil)

90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After Recap: Drawing the Line

Paul Staehle is worried about Karine Staehle when he realizes she has locked herself in the bathroom for a long period of time. When she emerges it’s apparent that she has been crying and he is confused as to what he has done wrong. Paul’s mother arrives at the house only to realize she has just walked into their marital drama. Karine approaches her mother-in-law and tells her she isn’t the problem, before walking away. Paul tracks his wife down at the park, but she refuses to talk to him and asks for space.

When Paul returns home, he explains to his mother that Karine wants him to get a job, but he is also expected to do everything in the house. He even claims that Karine refuses to change the baby’s diapers. I wonder if she is suffering from postpartum and being apart from her family is only making it worse. It has to be hard to move to a foreign country and only have the support of one person when you are accustomed to a large family. Let’s be honest, Paul’s family barely seems to want to be bothered with him.
