Vicki Gunvalson Says Current Real Housewives Are “Cheap Labor” Compared To Her

Vicki Gunvalson is having a rough few months. The former Real Housewives of Orange County has found herself single again after the breakup with now ex-fiance, Steve Lodge. To add insult to injury, Steve moved on at lightening pace, getting engaged just a few months later.

Vicki was obviously feeling some kind of way because she accused him of cheating and slammed him in the press. Vicki went so off the rails, she even stands accused of chasing Steve out of a restaurant. Vicki, listen, I know I have never been a fan. But regardless, we women have to stick together. And I implore you to please find a therapist and a meditation app. Trust me, it will help.

Unfortunately, while Vicki was still reeling from her breakup, she set off to film Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. The season 2 cast included bestie Tamra Judge, who openly admitted that Vicki had a “rough start” on the show.  So I think it’s fair to say that Vicki isn’t in the best place just a few years after she was axed from the franchise she takes credit for creating, RHOC. And clearly, Orange County is still on her mind.

As reported by Reality Blurb, Vicki sat down with fellow RHUGT cast member Brandi Glanville on an episode of her podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered. Vicki took this time to boast about her golden years on the show. She said of her time on the franchise, “We had the best ratings ever.” She then dunked on the current season.

Vicki claimed, “They’re plummeting right now. I know I was good TV. We’re down to 700,000 watching season 16 now so it’s not working, the cast that they have and I knew it wouldn’t.”

Vicki isn’t the first former cast member to air out their grievances by criticizing the show’s current ratings. In another desperate effort to stay relevant, Kelly Dodd also pointed out that ratings were down in a tweet to Andy Cohen. Andy quickly debunked Kelly’s numbers and tweeted back to “look at the delayed numbers, not live. That’s what’s measured.”

But Vicki has a bigger theory as to why the show isn’t working. According to her, Bravo brings in new cast members to save some cash. Vicki alleged, “[They bring new cast members because] it’s cheap labor. Plus, they have young kids. [And] the viewers maybe want to see somebody else’s lifestyle.”

Cheap labor is a low blow, even for Victoria Gunvalson, who has always revered the need to have a job. So she can’t really hold it against any newbies just trying to make a living, even if it is a low salary. Because with or without Vicki, the show must go on.

TELL US – WHAT DO YOU THINK OF VICKI’S CLAIMS THAT RATINGS ARE DOWN? WHERE ARE ALL THESE FORMER CAST MEMBERS GETTING THEIR INFO ON RATINGS? DO YOU THINK VICKI STILL HATE WATCHES RHOC? DO YOU AGREE WITH HER THEORY ABOUT NEW HOUSEWIVES BEING CHEAP LABOR?
