Clayton Echard Apologizes To Elizabeth Corrigan After He Sent Her Home Over On The Bachelor

The Bachelor is moving ahead at full steam and Clayton Echard is coming to find that the “journey” is a lot harder than he thought. I mean, who would think that making shrimp could result in such drama? Bachelor producers, that’s who! Most of the women on the show have sided with Elizabeth Corrigan, who has been open about being neurodivergent, over Shanae Ankney in this shrimp drama.

Before “shrimp-gate” Shanae called Elizabeth “two-faced” and a “mean-girl” for supposedly ignoring her during a conversation with multiple people. But Elizabeth explained that she has ADHD, which makes it difficult to concentrate on more than one conversation at a time. After that, Shanae ate all the shrimp Elizabeth made for the house, felt bullied about it and told Clayton, and then Clayton sent Elizabeth home. Clayton is now apologizing to Elizabeth for sending her home instead of Shanae.

According to an article in People, “In a post shared on social media on Tuesday, Echard apologized for the shocking elimination decision, saying he wasn’t aware of the full extent of the problem between the two women.” Clayton began the apology by writing, “I’m sorry, Elizabeth, for what you’re going through. I wish I could have seen what was happening when I wasn’t there. I obviously knew y’all weren’t in a good place, but at the time I thought it was, solely, petty drama.”

Clayton continued the apology, writing, “I would have sent Shanae home immediately for making fun of you for being neurodivergent, had I known… I really meant well, but my actions weren’t always the best as I now can see the repercussions from my decisions.” He concluded the apology to Elizabeth, saying, “I can promise you I’m learning from the mistakes though and am doing everything in my power to come out the other side a better man.”

Elizabeth has yet to respond to Clayton’s apology. She did, however, reply to his tweet saying that he is “looking forward to having an open and honest discussion [at the Women Tell All].” And that “it’s important to hold people accountable, including myself.” Elizabeth replied, “I’m ready.”

Whoever Clayton ends up with, it’s likely they won’t make it down the aisle anyway. Especially considering the awful track record of couples from the franchise. Still, The Women Tell All is usually interesting, so at least we have some good drama to look forward to!
