Diana Jenkins Allegedly Didn’t Pay Her Housekeepers According To Resurfaced Lawsuit From 2018

Seems like the carefully crafted facade around Diana Jenkins is quickly crumbling. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie certainly hasn’t impressed fans on the show. And off the show is a mess of cataclysmic proportions.

In the latest scandal that involves the Bosnia-born housewife, Diana stands accused of not paying her staff. In court documents obtained by Radar Online, three former employees filed suit against her in 2018. Griselda Santana, Jorge Ramirez and Maricela Salazar sued Diana for failure to pay overtime and provide proper breaks. They also alleged that she didn’t pay their earned wages. According to the employees, they demanded their pay and Diana refused. So they took her to court.

Griselda was paid $25 an hour and worked as Diana’s housekeeper from October 2014 until June 2017, when she was let go. Maricela worked for Diana for two years, starting in 2015 and up until her firing in 2017. The suit read, “Both Santana and Salazar, throughout their employment with [Jenkins] were required to work 8 and 9 consecutive workdays per extended workweek period.” They also claim that Diana didn’t pay overtime when they worked over 40 hours a week.

In addition, they said that Diana’s staff wouldn’t allow them to take a 10-minute break but just one hour break for the day. The suit alleged, “Any time attempted to be taken by Salazar or Santana as a rest break, either before or after the lunch break was interfered with by either supervisor and aggressively denied.”

Both women alleged they were regularly yelled at by supervisors and constantly sought out if they were not seen actively working. They claim to have told Diana but she told them, “this is how we do it in Bosnia.” According to Griselda and Maricela, they complained at least 20 times but nothing came of it.

Jorge, the third member of the lawsuit, worked for Diana from 2006 until 2014. He briefly left and came back from 2016 to 2017 and accused Diana of not allowing him proper breaks. He believed that Diana owed him $12,250. Maricela sought $40k in unpaid wages and penalties, while Griselda asked for $50k. Diana denied any wrongdoing and the case was dismissed a few months later.

While this lawsuit is from 2018, this wasn’t Diana’s first rodeo in court. In 2016, her brand of energy drinks was sued for allegedly making misleading claims to consumers. She ended up shelling out $500k in penalties and restitution but did not admit to any liability.
