Teddi Mellencamp Clears up Erika Jayne ‘Defund the Police’ Fight Rumors

Erika Jayne is no stranger to a fight. But there’s one rumor doing the rounds on social media that appears to hold little merit.

The future of policing in America is uncertain, even though not much reform has taken place presently. Despite the cries to defund police starting in 2020, little defunding has taken place — much less than most news outlets would have the public think.

It’s a divisive topic to be sure, and one that Erika allegedly blew up over recently while at a bar. Considering the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has a son on the force, it would make sense why she’d be so passionate about the issue.

However, whether Erika’s feathers were truly ruffled over the topic has been contested. Teddi Mellencamp decided to get to the bottom of things, discussing her findings on the October 24 episode of Two Ts In A Pod.

Teddi texted Erika and Lisa about the fight

Recently, the DuexMoi Instagram page posted a DM they’d received claiming that Erika Jayne and Lisa Rinna were involved in a fight at Bar1912. The DM alleged that “Erika got mad” over “Something about defunding the police.” They accused Lisa of “taking pictures,” and further reported that the bar “had security come a few times.”

Teddi admitted that she “got a little bit even worried. I was like, ‘What if this is true?’ So I, like, texted both Rinna and Erika.” The response from Lisa said, “I got there at 6:10 p.m., I was gone by 8. We were all laughing, having fun. Yes, at one point, I stood up and took some pictures. No drama, no fight, we’re all good.”

Erika’s response corroborated Lisa’s. She said, “No fighting about defunding the police. We were talking about music, laughing, and having fun.” Teddi went on to call the whole situation “a non-story.” And with an anonymous DM as the only source to allege that anything went down, Teddi is right. Unless more details come out, this is a non-story.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 premieres October 25 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
