Joe Gorga and Frank Catania Claim They Were ‘Scammed’ by a ‘Fake Brad Garrett’ for Comedy Show

Joe Gorga has been in the standup comedy game for a couple of years now, and he probably thought he was finally about to hit the big time, but it turns out he’s been scammed. Unfortunately, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star fell victim to a scam of stolen identity.

Yes, Joe and Frank Catania were promoting a comedy show that turned out not to be everything it seemed. What’s worse, many people bought tickets to the show before they realized the truth of the matter.

Unfortunately, no one had any reason to believe the promoted comedy show was fake, including Joe and Frank. With scams on the rise, it was unfortunate to see the RHONJ stars and their fans fall pretty to one such as this.

Details of the Joe and Frank comedy show scam

On October 31, RadarOnline reported that Joe and Frank had been accused by comedian Brad Garrett of scamming their fans. Allegedly, Joe and Frank were convincing their fans to buy tickets to a Brad Garrett show that didn’t exist. Based on the flyer that Joe and Frank were spreading around, Joe was going to headline, with Garrett as a host.

The fake show also featured comedian Jaclyn Marfuggi and Frankie as a special guest. “ALERT!! This is NOT AN ACTUAL Show at my club,” Garrett wrote on Instagram, “and people are being scammed to buy tickets via a fake link on Facebook.” The comedian also informed promoters that imposter accounts were collecting the funds.

However, in a bizarre twist, it turned out Joe and Frank had also been scammed. A representative for Joe disclosed, “Joe’s attorney was scammed. They even had signed contracts in place.” The rep also reported that Joe was “very disappointed as he was looking forward to performing” with Garrett in Las Vegas.
