Dancing with the Stars To Throw Taylor Swift ‘Celebration’ Night

In October 2023, Dancing with the Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd spilled some delicious tea. “We will be having a Taylor Swift week here. Am I allowed to say that?” she asked. Well, the cat was out of the bag.

Meanwhile, DWTS pro Artem Chigvintsev and his partner, Charity Lawson, also discussed the possibility on the Nikki and Brie Show. “Another night I am excited for, and I wanted to know Charity, if you are excited as well, is Taylor Swift. Are you a Swiftie?” Artem’s wife, Nikki Garcia, asked.

Charity explained that while she isn’t a huge Swiftie, she does like her music. Charity “did request” a song by Taylor for the first week of the show. But she was told that she couldn’t use it. Artem thought that might be a clue.

People reported that on Tuesday, November 21, DWTS will have A Celebration of Taylor Swift. The six remaining couples will break it down to songs from Taylor’s huge catalog of hits.

And, since the show apparently must have a guest judge, choreographer Mandy Moore will join judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough. Mandy was responsible for the choreography for Taylor’s incredibly successful The Eras Tour.

In a press release, ABC confirmed that the songs and dance styles will be revealed at a later date. And November 14 will be Whitney Houston Night. Billy Porter will be a guest judge for that episode.

I’m crossing my fingers that maybe Taylor might record a video message for the contestants. Right now, the remaining celebrities are Charity, Ariana Madix, Alyson Hannigan, Barry Williams, Jason Mraz, Xochitl Gomez, and Harry Jowsey.

Dancing with the Stars continues on Tuesdays on ABC and Disney+.
