Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 has been leaps and bounds above Season 3. But that doesn’t mean it’s perfect, or that every snowflake holder gets a 10 out of 10. Now that the season’s coming to a close, which RHOSLC stars gave viewers life? Which ones just gave us a headache? Who would fans keep on their wagon, and who’s getting the boot? In other words, here are the winners and losers of RHOSLC Season 4. Warning—some of these picks may be controversial, so get ready for hot takes.
Winner – Monica Garcia
Newbie Housewives need to stir things up, cause plenty of drama, and establish themselves as a main character. And boy, did Monica Garcia ever succeed at all of the above! Monica had fans’ attention as soon as it came out that she was the whistleblower who testified against Jen Shah. That was only the start of her shocking revelations, including an 18-month affair with her brother-in-law and the Beauty Lab lawsuit.
Monica kept giving all season long. Has anyone ever successfully gone toe-to-toe with Lisa Barlow like that before? Who else can’t unhear Monica’s spot-on Lisa impression?
Sure, some might argue she came out a loser because she’s alienated every cast member, save for Mary Cosby. But doesn’t that just show she did her job as the villain? For her efforts, she was awarded first chair at the Season 4 reunion. And whether her co-stars like it or not, she’s clearly gonna come back for Season 5.
Winner – Meredith Marks
Let’s face it, Meredith Marks cemented herself as a RHOSLC Season 4 winner as soon as she yelled “YOU! CAN! LEAVE!” We’ll never think of the word “rumors” without hearing her bizarre pronunciation. Meredith’s behavior on the season’s last cast trip was also iconic, from her bathtub-deprived meltdown, to getting glam with an IV in her arm, to the out-of-nowhere Greek Mafia allegations. No wonder she has celebrity fans like Sarah Paulson and Megan Thee Stallion.
Draw – Heather Gay
Heather Gay had a better season than last year. And her career’s reached new heights. But she still hasn’t quite regained her fan favorite status.
Heather had highs and lows this season. Understandable, despite her trauma from the mormon church, it wasn’t her place to confront Lisa over son Jack Barlow’s mission trip. It’s also eye-roll worthy and hypocritical every time Heather chided someone for being loyal to Jen Shah. But on the other hand, her table games started some of the best fights of the season. She gives great confessionals. It was also so sweet—and extra painful knowing what comes next—watching Heather spoil Monica on her birthday.
Ultimately, it’s hard to unambiguously crown Heather a winner when she peed in a sprinter van on TV. Damn those espresso martinis!
Winner – Lisa Barlow
Lisa Barlow definitely stepped out of line sometimes this season. And it was comical how easily Monica got under her skin. But no matter what, Baby Gorgeous remains one of the most quotable and entertaining Housewives. Even during the meltdowns over her $60,000 ring and her glam (“I have glam in Monaco! I have glam in St. Tropez!”), tiring as those could be. As usual, she had RHOSLC Season 4’s best tagline.
The thing about Lisa is, once she drops lines like “Give a girl a crystal and next thing you know, she thinks she’s the Dalai Lama” and reveals she has a whole cyber security team, it makes you forget about any faults. And she has a sense of humor about those faults as well. Baby Gorgeous also contains multitudes, like when she stepped up for Monica in Bermuda.
Plus, she had Whitney Rose and Heather fighting over her when she doesn’t seem particularly attached to either one. That’s pretty iconic, and shows she’s still the queen bee.
Loser – Whitney Rose
I initially forgot to include Whitney on this list, which says a lot. Like her cousin Heather, she loves to play instigator and then put the blame on others for what she started. That pattern gets tiring after a while. I hate to agree with Mary Cosby, but sometimes she really does act like a little girl.
Winner – Angie Katsanevas
I can’t remember the last time the fanbase rallied around a Housewife as much as Angie Katsanevas this year. At first, it seemed like Angie K was going to be the new villain. Instead, Salt Lake’s resident Greek Goddess became the comic relief and one of Season 4’s winners.
Loser – Mary Cosby
Yes, Mary’s antics are funny. But they also get really old, really fast. Her constant insults, and whatever weird things are going on with her family, just aren’t fun to watch.
Winner – Giant and Weird Sunglasses
The RHOSLC cast can all agree on one thing—they love a pair of giant sunglasses. Honestly, they wear these so often, ridiculous shades might as well be the biggest Season 4 winner of all.
Loser – Jen Shah
Sorry, Jen, but this season is just fine without you as the center of attention. At least she’s making the absolute most out of her prison sentence. And even working on a biopic!
