Tamra Judge returned to Real Housewives of Orange County as a full-time cast member after two years away from the show. Tammy Sue is just one example of a Real Housewives star who can leave the franchise but return to the scene of the crime. See also: Luann de Lesseps and Shereé Whitfield.
RHOC might see the arrival of Alexis Bellino in Season 18, proving once again that certain old habits die hard, and that’s fine with Tamra. But there is one particular individual she never wants to see holding fruit. Andy, we need Gretchen Rossi and a camera ASAP.
Tamra is still bothered by Gretchen
On an episode of Two Ts in a Pod Tammy Sue and Teddi Mellencamp took fan questions. One follower wanted to know who the ladies would never work with again. While Teddi noted she is perfectly fine working with any of her previous co-stars, Tamra had a name at the ready.
“Who I wouldn’t work with that’s been fired from my show would obviously be Gretchen,” she said. This seems to be a clear choice. After all, would you want to hang out with someone you purposely got drunk and allowed your weird son to paw all over? Probably not because that would mean you might have to take … accountability.
But that’s okay because Gretchen has no desire to become another person Tamra decides to yell at on camera. Over the years the two have spent time insulting each other in the media. Gretch feels Tammy Sue is a “one-trick pony” which is fair and Tamra still blasts Gretchen for being with Slade Smiley – also fair.
Back in 2021, Gretchen said she would make a return to RHOC if Tamra no longer existed, but fans aren’t really in love with Gretchen, so the point is moot now that Tammy Sue is back in the saddle.
While Tamra might not want Gretchen back, she’s giving Alexis the green light. “There’s a lot of talk about Alexis coming back,” she noted in a November interview. “Her and I recently made amends and talked for a very long time at BravoCon [2023]. And I wouldn’t mind seeing her come back,” she added. Much to the chagrin of Shannon Beador, but she and Tamra are currently not speaking.
We’re still waiting for Season 18 RHOC cast announcements. So far the only locks are Tamra, Heather Dubrow, and Shannon. Stay tuned.
