Lisa Rinna Happy RHOBH Producers Did ‘The Right Thing’ Showing Her Exit Email

It’s been a year since Lisa Rinna announced her departure from Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She spent eight years on the show, and from her first season on, she was immediately labeled the series villain. The actress fought incessantly with co-stars like Kim Richards and Brandi Glanville.

Her behavior became a bit more problematic during her later years on the show. Her feuds with Denise Richards, Sutton Stracke, and Kathy Hilton are just a few of the moments that led fans to call for her firing.

After a rocky Season 12, Rinna shocked the Bravosphere, saying, “This is the longest job I have held in my 35-year career, and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series. It has been a fun eight-year run, and I am excited for what is to come.” Many assumed she’d been let go; however, during a Season 13 episode, Rinna’s email to producers shows she left on her own.

Rinna has been vindicated!

During a new interview with Cosmopolitan, Lisa addressed the RHOBH flashback as Bravo doing “the right thing.”

“This show has a way of always coming around and them showing that was a moment of them coming around and doing the right thing, I think,” she said.

Since leaving, Rinna has been booked and busy. She’s traveling the world, walking the runway, and starring in Ryan Murphy productions. When asked if she’s watching the current season of Beverly Hills, she replied, “I’m not, no.”

“I think that when you leave a job that you’ve had for eight years, you have to really disengage, and I had to disengage completely for my own sanity. So yeah, no.”

Or has she?

When Rinna’s email to production, which read, “I will not be renewing my contract, and I will not be coming back to RHOBH. Thank you so much for 8 years!!!! All the best, Lisa,” appeared in an earlier episode, the former diamond holder had “no idea” that was happening.

“Nobody gave me a heads-up,” Lisa revealed. “I mean, a week before it aired, somebody sent it to me because Bravo had sent out a preview of the episode. So I thought, ‘Wow, look at that.’ Because, of course, everyone thought I’d been fired. But no, I made that decision. I sent text messages to the rest of the people. I sent an email to the head of Bravo, but I sent text messages to everybody else. It was the right decision to make, at the time, absolutely the right decision.”

Now that she has time away from the cameras, Lisa has been living her best life. “I didn’t regret it when I sent the letter, and I haven’t regretted it since,” she finished regarding her email.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continues on Wednesdays at 8/7c.
