Prepare your ears. Scheana Shay is getting ready to expand her footprint in the music industry.
The Vanderpump Rules star dropped her iconic bop Good as Gold back in Season 2 of the show. Since then, she has milked that song for everything it’s worth. She did an Uber Eats remix and most recently, a pop-punk remix with a band called The 27s.
On VPR Season 11, Episode 2, we saw some behind the scenes of Scheana’s recording process with The 27s. Apparently, that was just the beginning of an ongoing creative collaboration. In an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Scheana revealed that she and The 27s have big plans together, and they’re preparing to release a full-blown EP.
Scheana: The Eras EP
“I have new music with the boys, The 27s,” Scheana revealed. “They are incredible. It’s been such a fun outlet [and] very therapeutic. We’re doing a whole EP that’s kind of like the eras of Scheana on Vanderpump Rules.”
Right now, there’s no release date in mind for Scheana’s upcoming project with The 27s. She still needs to finish it first. When talking to the outlet, she revealed that they only have one song completed.
Scheana explained, “We only have one [song] that’s completely finished and then the other two are written, and then I’m waiting for the last one of the EP because I feel like I’m gonna get some [inspiration] throughout this season that’s gonna trigger a new song.”
Regardless of the timeline for this EP, Scheana is just stoked to be making music. She talked about how fun it’s been to explore her creative side. Her days of waitressing at SUR are far behind her.
“I’ve been really enjoying just getting back in the studio, having fun with it, not worrying about what people are gonna say and just being confident,” Scheana shared.
