Get ready, little girls! The streets are talking, and they’re saying Mary M. Cosby has reportedly signed on for Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
According to online sources, Mary and two others have signed on the dotted line to be full-time for the next season. This news comes only weeks after the explosive Season 4 finale and reunion, where Heather Gay outed newbie Monica Garcia for running the troll account Reality Von Tease.
If true, it’s an interesting choice, seeing that Mary hoped producers and Andy Cohen would bring Monica for another spin around the block to “defend” her against the other ladies. “I think you probably have us for the next season,” she said in November 2023. “She helped me,” she continued. “I feel like I got us through the first portion, then she rolled us on out.”
Mary’s past with RHOSLC
Although Season 4 saw Mary as a “friend of,” she’s no rookie in the land of Real Housewives. She starred in the first two seasons full-time, which saw her feuding primarily with the felonious Jen Shah over her keen sense of smell. She also got into it with Whitney Rose and the now-fired Housewife, Jennie Nguyen.
After skipping the Season 2 reunion, Mary departed the series for a much-needed mental break. “Meredith [Marks] would reach out to me, but I wouldn’t answer the phone. … She really kept being a good friend to me during that time … [but] she was just too connected to the show, and I had to disconnect myself in order to heal,” Mary said in January 2024.
When asked if she was glad she returned, even in a reduced capacity, the reality star revealed it may have been the best decision the show could’ve ever made. “I’m glad I’m back, and they needed me,” she said regarding her co-stars. “They need me to be back, and I need to be here.”
