Carl Radke ‘Not Dating’ Yet After Lindsay Hubbard Separation

Following his messy breakup with Lindsay Hubbard last fall, Carl Radke is getting his own life in order before he starts dating again.

“I’m not dating yet,” he explains. “I don’t personally feel it’s fair to enter another relationship while I’m still dealing with some entanglements.” Well, “entanglements” is putting it mildly. I can totally see Lindsay putting out a hit on any girl Carl would try to date right now.

“Let’s be honest, starting February 22 [when Season 8 starts to air], every Thursday night, you have to relive this,” he adds. “My breakup is going to be a big conversation. I don’t know if that’s also fair for … anybody else that I would pursue. So [I am] just taking a step back.” Good advice.

Focused on moving forward

Currently, the Summer House star is concentrating on the positive things in his life. “Focus on my family, focus on my friends, and focus on my career,” he tells Us Weekly. “And then I think the girl will come at some point.”

Viewers have followed Carl and Lindsay’s relationship since Summer House premiered in 2017. Friends for years, the couple briefly dated during Season 4, but eventually decided they were better off as friends than lovers. But at the end of Season 6, they gave it another try. Carl proposed in the Season 7 finale one year later.

But Carl ended their relationship suddenly and on-camera in August 2023, only three months prior to their planned November wedding. They haven’t spoken to each other properly since.

“We haven’t seen each other in person since I think it was at BravoCon [November 2023],” the Pittsburgh native reveals. “We’ve had text messages since the breakup, but right now, no we are not in communication … I really would like to resolve [things] and move forward.”

Shortly after the split, Carl moved out of the couple’s $13,000-a-month NYC apartment. He had been sleeping in the guest room, until Lindsay’s dad called and told him they needed to “take some space.”

“I have not slept at that apartment since that day,” the Loverboy salesman says.

Season 8 will “shed light” on the breakup

Carl then hints that Season 8 will reveal a lot more about their relationship and why it ended. “There was a lot more that you’re going to see that will maybe shed light on how something like that could even happen,” he suggests. Like we haven’t been seeing that since the beginning?

Carl promises that viewers will see the cracks in the relationship widen during Season 8, while Hubhouse insists she never saw it coming and was “blindsided” by their breakup.

“It was absolutely humiliating,” Lindsay says. “For [Carl] to call up producers and then set up cameras and manipulate me into sitting down [so he could break up with me] after we’d already wrapped [the seaon] is scary. The whole world found out within 30 minutes of me.”

Maybe Carl just felt safer with witnesses on hand. After all, Lindsay is famous for her explosive temper.

Meanwhile Carl wishes his ex-fiancée well. “I just pray and hope that she finds happiness and I can find happiness,” he says. “I do believe we’re going to be happier in different directions.”

Summer House Season 8 premieres February 22 at 9/8c on Bravo.
