Buying Beverly Hills Season 2 Preview: Mauricio Umansky Breaks Separation News to Daughters

After 13 seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, for some reason, you’ll need to watch Buying Beverly Hills Season 2 to get the latest on Mauricio Umansky’s separation from Kyle Richards.

Netflix just dropped the Buying Beverly Hills Season 2 trailer, and it gave a glimpse of Mauricio sitting down with his daughters and explaining the status of his marriage to Kyle. In less than two minutes, we got more information about the separation than we have throughout the entirety of RHOBH Season 13.

Watch Mauricio break the news

In the teaser, Mauricio sat down with their three oldest daughters, Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umansky, and Farrah Brittany. He explained that after trying to salvage their marriage, Kyle came to him and said that she needed space. He confirmed that they are separated, which is something Kyle has avoided saying in Season 13 of RHOBH.

“I had an amazing 26 years with your mom,” Mauricio told his daughters in the clip. “I wanted to do everything possible to just save it.”

Mau continued to explain how Kyle gave him rules of engagement for how their separation would work. Apparently, Kyle said, “You go out, you date, you do whatever it is that you want to do.”

As Mauricio broke the news, you could see all of the feelings sink in for his daughters. Farrah, who looks and sounds like a carbon copy of Kyle, said she had a tough time wrapping her head around it. Meanwhile, Sophia started crying.

“We only even found out that there was any issues just a few months ago and now it just is like things change so quickly,” Sophia said through tears.

Alexia chimed in with a heartfelt apology to the family. She said she was sorry they were all having to deal with this. Surely, the nonstop reality TV cameras haven’t made it easier.

“I’m sorry we’re all going through this,” Alexia told her father. “Sorry for all of us. I’m sorry for you guys, I’m sorry for you.”

Season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills premieres on Netflix on March 22.
