Kyle Richards went through a rollercoaster of emotions as the cameras rolled for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13. At the very least, she had cast members like Erika Jayne beside her.
Erika stood by Kyle more than once this season, even when she perhaps shouldn’t have. Still, what Kyle needed more than anything amid her separation was the support of friends.
Unfortunately, Kyle closed herself off quite a bit. On WWHL, in her reflections of Season 13, Sutton Stracke expressed how she wished “Kyle had been more open with us.” Still, the ladies rallied around her amid the news of her separation, with Erika especially showing her solidarity.
Kyle describes the silver lining of her “scary” future
In the finale’s After Show, Erika expressed to Kyle how she wished fans would give her a break in many regards. “It’s your marriage. It’s your life,” Erika said. “Whatever you choose to do with it … doesn’t involve anybody else. Everybody can say what they want but you need to do what’s right for you.”
Kyle had tears in her eyes as she said, “I always thought I knew what my future looked like. And now … it feels scary.” Erika agreed with the sentiment. Kyle went on, “But I know that at least I have my girls that make me feel really supported.”
Erika responded and assured her friend, “And that’s all you really need. You’ll be all right.” As Kyle discussed her daughters, Erika assured her it was all right to be upset. She got tissues for her friend. Kyle said her marriage was her “biggest accomplishment.” Erika said, “It still is.” Erika further assured her that no matter what, her marriage was successful. “You didn’t let anybody down.”
For all the frustration that Kyle caused fans this season, it was still easy to sympathize with her in that moment. The RHOBH cast showed their concern in the season finale. Perhaps the question now is whether Kyle will be open enough with her friends to let them help in the future.
