The Traitors Season 2 is winding down, and there is no shortage of drama. Episode 9 of the season ended with a real cliffhanger. With just nine players remaining, the roundtable vote was tied. That means that either Traitor Phaedra Parks or Faithful Peter Weber will be banished.

Viewers have to wait for Mercedes “MJ” Javid to reveal her vote. I am obsessed with who is leaving host Alan Cumming’s Scottish castle. Since we are in the home stretch and that prize pot is growing nearer, I’m ranking the The Traitors Season 2 competitors. I’ve included both Peter and Phaedra since we don’t know who will be banished from the castle.

9. Phaedra Parks- Traitor

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Phaedra had a good run. For most of the season, she flew under the radar while viciously murdering her fellow cast members at night. But once Phaedra’s fellow Traitor Dan Gheesling called her out in a bid to save himself, some people started to turn a suspicious eye towards Phaedra. The other Traitor, Pavarti Shallow, was banished at the next roundtable. And Trishelle Cannatella came for Phaedra.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Phaedra made a huge mistake at the challenge in the church. Competitors had to fire a crossbow and hit a pane of glass marked with a contestant’s name. If a player’s pane was broken, they could not get the shield. Phaedra went against the group’s plan and targeted Trishelle. It bothered Phaedra’s friend, Chris “CT” Tamburello. At the roundtable, he admitted that he thought Phaedra was a Traitor.

Phaedra threw Pilot Pete under the bus and accused him of working with both Dan and Pavarti. Up until this point, Phaedra was a master of deception. She skillfully dissected anyone’s arguments against her. Even if she survives the vote and MJ selects Peter, her name has been brought up in three roundtable sessions. There is no way to undo that damage.

8. Peter Weber- Faithful

Everyone in the game underestimated Peter. That is until he created a way to trap a Traitor. He told just three people that he had the shield: Pavarti, Dan, and CT. Instead, it was Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen who had the shield. Dan wanted Bergie gone. But when Bergie walked into breakfast, Peter rejoiced. One, or more, of those three people had to be a Traitor.

There was speculation that the torch ceremony was put into play to protect Peter. Sam Rees-Jones, the executive producer of the show, confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that the twist was planned. “The episode 7 twist [of the canceled banishment] was absolutely not done to protect anyone. That was a twist that had been planned for that episode before we even started filming,” he stated.

But when Peter tried to steer the vote away from Pavarti at the next roundtable, it looked sus. The Bravo clique, plus Sandra Diaz-Twine, thought that Peter was working with the Traitors. Plus, the way Peter made up false stories rubbed some people the wrong way. If he does survive the vote and Phaedra is banished, Peter is going to have a lot of work to do to rehab his image.

7. John Bercow- Faithful

John Bercow, who is the United Kingdom’s former Speaker of the House of Commons, loves to give speeches. Everyone considers him the epitome of a Faithful. But John’s problem is that he is in an alliance with Peter, Trishelle, and possibly CT. There is a good possibility that the Traitors will continue to murder Peter’s group, and John is an easy target.

6. Shereé Whitfield- Faithful

RHOA star Shereé Whitfield was in the Bravo clique. But she hasn’t done very much in the game. During the creepy game of trust in the woods, Sheree saved her longtime friend, Phaedra. Other than that, she has been quiet. I’m not sure if she has done enough to possibly win part of the prize money.

5. Mercedes “MJ” Javid- Faithful

Mercedes, who starred in Shahs of Sunset, was thought to be one of the Bravo girls. But, during the most recent episode, she told Trishelle that she was willing to listen to evidence about Phaedra being a Traitor. MJ hasn’t been afraid to vote however she feels, even if she was the only one. While most of the cast considered her a prime candidate to be killed off, she is still in the mix.

4. Trishelle Cannatella- Faithful

The Challenge alum was confident that Phaedra was a Traitor. And Trishelle hitched her wagon to Peter’s group of fervent Faithfuls. If Peter ends up being banished, then that just leaves Trishelle, John, and possibly CT. But CT is a wild card.

In terms of the numbers game, Trishelle may be the next to be murdered or banished. If Phaedra stays, or the remaining Traitor Kate Chastain decides to avenge Phaedra, Trishelle is toast.

3. Sandra Diaz-Twine- Faithful

Survivor star Sandra is sitting pretty at the moment. She has been siding with the Bravo group but technically could be a swing vote between them and Pilot Pete’s crew.

She is stealthy and shares some game talk. But she isn’t screaming accusations at anyone. Sandra listens to everyone and is always thinking ahead about what could happen in the game. She has avoided suspicion, but now CT and Trishelle think that she is a Traitor like Phaedra. Their evidence? That church challenge when Phaedra and Sandra shot for Trishelle’s pane of glass.

2. CT Tamburello

The Challenge vet is both a beast in physical challenges and smart in gameplay. He is well-liked by his fellow competitors. And CT does what he believes is right. In this case, even though he is friends with Phaedra, he voted for her at the roundtable because the goal is to banish all Traitors.

While he isn’t afraid to call someone out, he does so after careful thought. I don’t foresee a finale without CT in it.

1. Kate Chastain

Former Below Deck star Kate competed in the first season of The Traitors. Unfortunately for her, she was eliminated right before the finale. She had been begging for weeks to either be murdered or banished. This time, Kate returned as a Faithful once again.

But once Parvati was banished, Phaedra needed a new duplicitous partner in crime. She gave Kate an ultimatum: become a Traitor, or be murdered. Of course, Kate donned the cloak and settled into life in the turret.

Since she joined the game about halfway through, no one is expecting Kate to be a Traitor. She talks to people and speaks up at the roundtable. Right now it looks like she has a clear path to the finale since no one is looking at her. If Phaedra survives, and she doesn’t turn on her newest partner in crime, then Kate could win it all. That is why she tops our ranking of The Traitors Season 2 competitors.
