Ever since Summer House started airing Season 8, Carl Radke has been redeemed in some way. Fans are now understanding why it is he asked camera crew to be present for his breakup with Lindsay Hubbard. As if a documentation of it all was wholly necessary given the amount of deflection going on in their fights.
And now, the sober Bravolebrity is finally able to speak about what went down filming Summer House last year. Certainly, Carl is willing to react to what was shown on the most-recent episode of the hit reality TV show, including Lindsay saying his “demons” came out.
Carl admits “struggling” when fighting with Lindsay, but says everyone has “demons”
Carl chose Watch What Happens Live as the platform to share his reaction on the shocking footage of his ex-fiancée repeatedly accusing him of using again, despite living sober for several years.
A fan asked for the reality TV star to comment on the veracity of Lindsay’s comment that Carl has “a lot of demons and they all come out on her.”
“I think we all have our demons,” he responded. “But no, I’m a human being and I have my emotions. And I think what you’re watching is, I’m just kinda emotional. I’m upset and kinda struggling how to navigate it. But, I’m a pretty calm person for the most part.”
That last statement from Carl is very telling. Perhaps the two just didn’t bring out the best in each other.
Host Andy Cohen posed a follow-up question from another fan. “Before the accusations from Lindsay the first weekend in the house, were there already other signs that you should end the engagement and was this the first time she accused you of using?” he asked.
“I wanted to try and work through some of these situations,” Carl explained. “I think a lot of what she was accusing me of had nothing to do with my sobriety. More of her trying to hurt me. So I’m proud of where I’m at with my sobriety, but I think a lot of situations with us that had nothing to do with drinking or drunk. Just foundational things that we were not on the same page with.”
