Brittany Cartwright Reveals ‘Horrible Fight’ With Jax Taylor Led to Her Moving Out

The saga of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s supposed breakup continues. And these two reality stars are anything but tight-lipped when it comes to their split. Lucky us?

As Jax and Brittany push forward with promoting their new Bravo show, The Valley, they are more than happy to share details about their newly-announced separation. In classic PR fashion, mind you. Meaning – they aren’t so much sharing details but rather teasing possible revelations you might see if you tune into The Valley.

Brittany recently spoke with People and teased a “horrible fight” that led her to walk out on Jax, her husband of four years.

Brittany walks out

“I just packed up my stuff and left,” Brittany shared. She previously revealed that she had been staying at an Airbnb since she walked out. The two have a son, Cruz, whom they welcomed in 2021. “At this point, Cruz is the most important thing, he’s all that matters. Other than that, like, I’m just trying to have fun and be happy right now for once,” she added.

Just last month, Brittany announced their separation on their podcast. She told listeners, “Marriages in general are very hard and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year,” the Kentucky native said. “Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”

It’s not a PR stunt

Given that the timing of her announcement coincided right with the premiere of The Valley, fans are naturally suspicious. Both Jax and Brittany have denied the rumors that their breakup is a stunt. Something that Brittany continues to defend.

“It’s been hard because a lot of people think our timing is weird because the show is coming out. “But I can’t control the freaking timing. I wish I could. If people have actually watched me and know my personality, they should understand this is not something I would do for a show,” Brittany asserted. “I am all about family, I’m all about marriage. I’ve been about that my entire life. This is something real that I really needed to step back from for a minute.”

The Valley premieres Tuesday, March 19 on Bravo.
