The rumors are swirling about casting shakeups on Real Housewives of Potomac, and of all people, Teddi Mellencamp is trying to get to the bottom of it. She’s putting her detective skills to work. During a recent episode of Two Ts in a Pod, she said reached out directly to Robyn Dixon to find out if she had truly been fired from the show.
Rumors about Robyn’s departure popped up shortly after the Season 8 RHOP finale aired. Insiders close to production claimed she got the axe. Since it wasn’t confirmed by Bravo, Teddi said she texted Robyn to get the inside scoop. Unfortunately, Robyn never got back to her.
Teddi is on the case
Teddi and Tamra Judge have been recapping Season 8 of RHOP, and they’ve been very vocal about what is and isn’t working. Neither of them were rooting for Robyn to get the boot.
Teddi said, “I texted her and said, ‘Please tell me this isn’t true.’ You know what I’ve heard back? Crickets.”
Teddi shouldn’t be too surprised that Robyn didn’t text her back. If she is really at risk of losing her job, why would she want to reveal that to one of the least-liked Housewives to ever grace the franchise? Plus, Two Ts in A Pod has had a little bit of a podcast rivalry with Robyn and Gizelle Bryant’s Reasonably Shady. Robyn would be foolish to spill that kind of tea to Teddi. If Robyn truly got fired, we’ll hear that news from Robyn and Bravo.
For now, the only casting news we know for sure about RHOP Season 9 is that Candiace Dillard Bassett won’t be returning. She confirmed her exit shortly after the Season 8 finale aired. In an exit statement, she claimed that she chose to leave the show to focus on other “responsibilities.” Of course, that’s what they all say.
We’ll all be eagerly awaiting to find out if there’s any truth to the rumors of Robyn’s exit. Casting news usually arrives after the reunions have aired. So, keep a close eye out on all of the Potomac cast over the next few weeks because right now, we shouldn’t assume any of them are safe.
