Brittany Cartwright Gives Co-Parenting Update While Separated From Jax Taylor

Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are taking their marriage one day at a time. The reality stars have been open about their marital struggles amid the first season of their new show, The Valley, airing on Bravo. The series follows some former Vanderpump Rules stars as they take on the world of adulting with their friends and their only child, Cruz.

Although the pair currently live separately, Brittany told People that they’re doing a fantastic job co-parenting. “We’re doing a really good job going back and forth,” she revealed. “And I’ll also take [Cruz] to the house and play, and we’ll swim one day or have him play on his play set, and we’ll do different things.”

“Jax will take him to Sky Zone, or he’ll take him to the park one day. But that’s the most important thing. So I think it’s honestly been better because we aren’t fighting in front of him. And for me, I think that’s what is most important right now. Because that’s why I had to get him out of that situation in the first place.”

Fans had speculated Brittany and Jax were experiencing trouble in paradise before the premiere of their VPR spin-off. During an episode of their podcast, When Reality HitsBrittany admitted to taking time away from her House of Villains husband for the betterment of her well-being.

“Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she said.

For now, it’s still unclear whether the couple will remain married or pursue a divorce. According to Brittany, she’s focusing on what she can control.

“I’m taking it one day at a time,” she explained. “I don’t know what the future holds, but right now my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz and I love you guys. Pray for us and everything will be just fine. We’re good.”
