Garcelle Beauvais Earns Extra Lifetime Executive Producer Roles

Unlike some other Housewives, Garcelle Beauvais has prospects outside of Bravo. If the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star were to be let go, she’d have plenty of other opportunities.

Garcelle’s acting chops landed her on the big screen more than once, in films like Coming to America and Spider-Man: Homecoming. In recent years, however, the small screen has been her bread and butter.

The Beverly Hills Housewife killed it on Lifetime in 2023 with her starring role in Black Girl Missing. Garcelle did so well, in fact, that Lifetime has decided it won’t end with just one movie.

On April 18, Lifetime confirmed that it would continue working with Garcelle. Not only that, but Garcelle would be working as an actor and a producer. As per the press announcement, Garcelle will star in and executive produce continuations to the Black Girl Missing film. On top of that, Beauvais and Lifetime will work with novelist Terry McMillian to bring more stories to the screen.

Garcelle shared her excitement about the ongoing partnership. “I am so excited and grateful to continue my relationship with Lifetime,” she shared, “because they immediately understood the importance of creating this now franchise with the Black Girl Missing movies. Having a network that stands by you and supports your mission gives me hope in humanity.”

She continued, “In addition to executive producing, I am thrilled to be starring in the Terry McMillan Presents movie because I can so deeply relate to being a woman who has to make hard decisions for matters of the heart.” The McMillian film will feature Garcelle as a caretaker for her elderly aunt. Her trip to South Carolina takes an unexpected turn when she meets and hits it off with a man 20 years younger than her.

As for the Black Girl Missing sequels, fans can expect continued commentary on the “systemic inequalities where missing girls and women of color are ignored.”

For those who want more Garcelle right away, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock.
