Vanderpump Rules Season 12: ‘No Decision’ Made on Cast, but Show Will Return

Did last night’s Vanderpump Rules Season 11 finale signal a significant shift from the show as we’ve known it all these years?

The divide in the friend group and Ariana Madix’s requests to be kept away from Tom Sandoval resulting from his affair with Rachel Leviss made for a taxing watch. VPR filming traditionally happens each summer, but filming for next season is on pause.

It’s hard to see a path forward – especially given that finale montage and a producer’s voiceover declaring, “That’s the end!” However, a source says that there are no plans to scrap the show for good. It will move forward, with or without all of the current cast.

Source: the Season 12 finale was not a series finale

Bravo doesn’t comment on casting, but a source explained to ET that the very final-feeling S11 finale wasn’t the end for Pump Rules. It might look different when it returns, though.

“There’s always a possibility of a cast shakeup, or having the legacy cast members move to [Vanderpump Rules spin-off] The Valley, but no decisions have been made yet,” the insider revealed.

Ariana put her foot down and refused to film with her ex this season, which caused some serious tension. Scheana Shay and her husband, Brock Davies, were especially conflicted due to their history with Sandy.

Others like Lala Kent, Tom Schwartz, James Kennedy, and Ally Lewber also had to carefully navigate the messy situation. Katie Maloney was Ariana’s only loyal ally.

Things got pretty intense during the season finale when Lala and Scheana definitively moved into Tom’s corner. In real-time, Lala has since been especially vicious to Ariana in the media.

As for when the cameras will roll again, it’s all still up in the air. Aside from all of the cast drama, Ariana’s got gigs lined up on Love Island USA and Broadway. Lisa Vanderpump might be busy with another season of Vanderpump Villa on Hulu. So, that’ll all play a part in the decision-making process.

The three-part Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion will air on May 14, May 21, and May 28 on Bravo. Each part will stream (unedited!) the next day on Peacock.
