Ariana Madix is coming back to Broadway to “Razzle Dazzle” again!
Scandoval’s definitive victor was cast as Roxie Hart for a 10-week run of Chicago that just ended last month. With Ariana at the helm, the show sold out left and right and broke records. The people must want more because she’s reprising the role for a few more weeks at the end of this summer. Luckily, she’ll be free since Vanderpump Rules is taking a pause from their usual summer filming.
Ariana’s coming back to Broadway in August
PEOPLE exclusively revealed that Ariana’s coming back to the Great White Way to pick back up as “murderous adulterer” Roxie Hart from Thursday, Aug. 1 through Tuesday, Aug. 27 at NYC’s Ambassador Theatre.
This will be her second run as Roxie. Her first run was a sold-out success from January through April. The show also broke box office records for four out of those 10 weeks. Obviously, Bravo fans made up a large chunk of those flocking to the audience.
Chicago’s a Broadway mainstay. The Kander and Ebb musical, originally choreographed by Bob Fosse, is Broadway’s longest-running American musical.
Ariana studied musical theater in college and then moved to NYC as a Broadway hopeful. While there, she learned to bartend to pay the bills. She eventually relocated to LA and put her drink-slinging skills to use at SUR – where she met Tom Sandoval and joined the VPR cast.
During a press call for her first run, Ariana discussed her dream becoming a reality. “This is quite literally everything to me. It’s all I’ve ever wanted. And to be here now, having this full-circle moment … I feel so beyond grateful.”
Congratulations to Ariana, who will also be booked and busy opening Something About Her this month AND hosting Love Island USA this summer.
