Sutton Stracke is a dynamic force on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills who doesn’t fit in with the mold. Sure, she’s a wealthy blonde divorcee in Beverly Hills, so she kind of is the cookie cutter in some aspects. But Sutton is one of a kind – no one pulls off a cat sweater or a below-the-belt quip quite like she can.
Aside from being a fashionista with a habit of stirring the pot on RHOBH, Sutton is also a businesswoman. We’ve seen her open her own clothing store on Melrose Place, patronized by her co-stars and various random celebrities throughout the seasons. Recently, Sutton’s store made news as it seemingly had a “For Lease” sign posted outside. Many fans were quick to question whether or not Sutton had to close up shop, and she’s coming clean to reveal the truth.
Sutton Stracke’s shifting concept
Jeff Lewis couldn’t help but ask Sutton about the status of her store during a recent episode of SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live. He claimed to be driving around the neighborhood and checking on Sutton’s store. A stressed-out Sutton blamed her assistant Avi and being out of town for the “For Lease” sign landing on her door. “I didn’t pay my rent, so they kicked me out,” Sutton eventually claimed. The reasons are still unclear, but poor Avi. Let’s hope he gets paid enough for putting up with Sutton’s nonsense.
Sutton went on to explain that she expanded her concept, pulled all of the inventory out of the store, and shipped it to Houston, so she apparently doesn’t need a brick-and-mortar anymore. She mentioned a driver “smoking pot like Willie Nelson style” caravaning her clothes to Texas, which provided no further context to the story.
Ultimately, Sutton revealed that the store is by appointment only these days. “It’s in the back, so that whole quadrant is really pretty, like the courtyard is there,” Sutton added. “I redid my unit D. It’s nice and I’ll have my samples there so that you can come by appointment only, Jeff.” So if you’re in the market for a Sutton-styled outfit, maybe complete with a winding story, make sure to make an appointment in advance.
