Vanderpump Rules initially began as a show spotlighting a ragtag group of employees who all worked at Lisa Vanderpump’s iconic SUR restaurant and lounge in West Hollywood. Yet, as the series grew in popularity and the stars of the show began to expand their careers, most began to stop working at the bar. Andy Cohen eventually pointed out that by the end of the OG run, which we now know stops at Season 11, no one among the cast worked at SUR anymore.
Did anyone even work there to begin with, though? VPR alum Charli Burnett recently made quite a confession regarding her SUR days, but her former co-star Peter Madrigal is already calling bs.
Vanderpump Rules alum Charli Burnett made big claims, disputed by Peter Madrigal
Charlie was a recent guest on the Trying To Figure It Out podcast. It was during the segment that she revealed a shocking detail about her days on VPR, where she was introduced as a SURver.
“Everything was planned. I would come in at like, before the rush, or before people came in, we would film three to five, and I would take fake orders, and then I would leave. But other people worked there. I didn’t,” she said in the May 6 episode.
Instantly, Peter, who was and still is the manager of SUR, commented on her hot-take on social media.
His IG message read, “What is she talking about? Am I going crazy? I literally remember telling her what section to take! Do I actually work at Sur lol I do. Unless it’s all a simulation and we’re in the matrix.”
Peter also forewarned that he may be dropping some receipts to discredit Charli, adding in a later comment that, “I will have something to say stay tuned.”
Vanderpump Rules is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
