It is BravoCon time once again. So buckle up for some piping hot tea, awkward run-ins, and messy games. Ringmaster Andy Cohen will be pulling out all the stops. However, Real Housewives of New Jersey fans are bound to be disappointed.
In August, Andy hinted that casting was going well. After the Season 14 cast divide between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, the show’s future looked uncertain. However, Andy teased, “We’re close,” when asked about RHONJ casting. Many fans who were hoping for an announcement at BravoCon are not going to get one. So cruel and unfair!
Andy Cohen knows casting isn’t right just yet on RHONJ
Andy was a guest on the podcast Housewives Nightcap and dished about RHONJ. When asked if devoted fans would hear a Jersey casting announcement, Andy lowered the hammer. “Well, I can tell you you’re not going to get one. Okay? There is no Jersey announcement,” he stated. “We will announce something when the casting’s right. Okay?”
Andy continued, “We are not going to be backed into something that’s not going to be great because the Jersey fans deserve greatness. And we’re not there yet. I’m just being real.” This franchise has been on pause for so long that viewers are going to forget where New Jersey is located.
I mean, Teresa and her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa, all recently made nice. The group reportedly wanted peace and to end their family feud. However, a skeptic might say that the trio wanted to make up to secure their jobs on Season 15 of RHONJ. This reunion wasn’t filmed for the show, so we don’t know what really happened.
Still, there were rumors that Melissa, Margaret Josephs, and the newly-engaged Dolores Catania all test-filmed with some potential cast members. I guess we will continue to wait until Bravo nails the casting. Fingers crossed that we hear some news soon.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is streaming on Peacock.
