It’s no secret that Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey was a mess. The cast was split, siding with either Teresa Giudice or Melissa Gorga. And Margaret Josephs was solidly behind Melissa.
Margaret and Teresa butted heads for years on RHONJ. Teresa took issue with Margaret discussing her concerns about Teresa’s husband, Luis Ruelas. And last season, Margaret was vocal about the possibility that Luis was dipping into Teresa’s earnings. So, when Luis and Teresa’s tax troubles came to light, Margaret had mixed emotions. “It’s very sad,” Margaret said at the time. However, she also felt “vindicated” by the news.
Margaret Josephs weighed in on Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga making peace
Recently, Margaret spoke with Evan Real of Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. “Obviously, there’s this potential reconciliation between Melissa and Teresa,” he said. “Yeah. Yeah, there is,” Margaret responded.
Then Evan asked, “How are you processing all of this?” The RHONJ star replied, “I mean, listen, I always want a family to get back together as long as it’s genuine, right? I know Melissa and Joe are being very genuine.”
She continued, “I think that it’s playing out in the press … is like not always the best. I think this is like a very long story with a lot of layers. I think it should be in a therapeutic situation, and maybe keep it behind the scenes. Do you know what I’m saying?” Margaret remarked.
Plus, Margaret said what all the RHONJ fans have been thinking. “I think that’s a lot better because we’ve all been down this road before, and I’m just hoping that it’s a genuine thing.” Amen!
According to Teresa, the reconciliation is real and not for show. “My brother, especially, knows I hold grudges,” Teresa said at BravoCon. “So if I let this go, it’s real.” In addition, Melissa expressed “relief” that the family feud was over.
