Southern Charm feels like it’s shifted. It’s become about the friendships between Craig Conover, Austen Kroll, and Shep Rose above all. And it’s a similar theme of the trio failing to mature and chasing after girls further and further from their actual age. That may be more Shep than anyone.
But the dynamic between besties Craig and Austen is always good for reality TV. In Season 11, Craig is single again. He’s partying and flirting up a storm with Charley Manley. During a cast party, Austen audibly took digs at his co-star. They seem to bring out the worst in each other at times, leading the other to say the most inciteful things. Now, Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen is questioning why.

Andy teased Austen as “obsessed” with the Sewing Down South founder during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live. Specifically, why is Austen so concerned about Craig drinking again after his breakup from Paige DeSorbo.
Craig previously admitted to having an “addiction” during Season 10 of the hit reality TV show. And Andy asked Austen his thoughts about Craig taking up alcohol again.
“That’s something that I’ve been asked a lot about. It almost makes it look like I’m obsessed with Craig and what he has going on,” Austen said.
Andy interjected, “Well, we know you are obsessed with Craig, but that’s OK.”
“He’s certainly taking it in that way. I find it head-scratching,” Austen responded.
Madison LeCroy, Austen’s co-star and ex-girlfriend, was present. She took the teasing a step further when she described Craig as her ex-boyfriend’s “perfect match.” It was the influencer’s response when an audience member asked her opinion on the matter.
“There’s only one match for Austen,” Andy said.
Madison added, “Come on, just do it.” For Austen, it felt like “a setup.”
The audience members didn’t want to let the issue go. When Andy read a fan question, it circled back to the subject of Craig and why Austen is “so jealous” of his friend. Madison, a trained hairdresser, suggested that their co-star has “good hair.”
“He has objectively better hair than you,” Andy joked.
“Oof. That hurts,” his guest responded.
