Welcome to the recap for Vanderpump Rules Season 12, Episode 4. Last week, Marcus and Kim made up for the umpteenth time, which sent Venus into a tailspin. When Venus told them he had enough of being their sounding board, they retaliated by telling everyone all the goss Venus had said about them. Meanwhile, Natalie and Shayne took one step forward and two steps back after Natalie proclaimed she was bored with him. And finally, newbie Angelica stole Jason’s heart … until he learned she lived with her ex. Well, rent is expensive in LA. Here’s exactly what went down in Vanderpump Rules Season 12, Episode 4: “Pour Decisions.”
What happened in Vanderpump Rules Season 12, Episode 4?

Relationships were crumbling left and right over at SUR. First, Angelica and Jason didn’t even make it to date number two when Angelica saw him flirting with another girl during their own date. Then, Venus decided to call it quits regarding his friendship with Marcus. The toxicity was more than he could bear. And finally, Natalie confronted Kim about the awkwardness between them, and Kim disengaged. Natalie responded by doing what she does best … crashing out.
Water, oxygen, and talking sh*t

It was a new day with the group leaving the disastrous pool party behind them. However, there was still some cleanup left to do. And for Venus, that meant dumping Marcus as a friend.
Venus met up with Natalie and their friend Ryan to dish on his feelings about the situation. In his confessional, he shared that they were his ride or dies. Venus stated, “Just like every human, we all have life necessities. Water, oxygen, talking sh*t. And there’s not much else you need.”
Both Natalie and Venus shared they were nervous going into work. Natalie was upset Kim had called her a “psychotic b*tch,” and Venus was going to end his friendship with Marcus for airing out his dirty laundry.
Later on at SUR, Angelica told Audrey how Jason was a walking red flag. After the pool party, he had taken her to a bar, and he knew every girl there. But the biggest red flag was when he left her to go say hi to another girl, and then she sat on his lap. Angelica quipped, “This man is a serial canoodler!”
But Jason had a different story. He said in his confessional, “I think she could have handled the situation differently. It would have been really cool if Angelica came up to me and just grabbed me by the shirt and started making out with me. I would have been like, ‘F*ck yeah, that’s mommy.’” He admitted she got “emotional,” and that scared him, so he unfollowed her. Doesn’t take much to frighten Jason, does it?
Still, he felt the need to pull Angelica aside and talk to her about what had happened. The two headed to SUR’s infamous back alley, where no conversation ended well for anyone.
SUR back alley standoffs

The tension was palpable as Angelica and Jason sat down out back. Jason claimed he was going to introduce her to his flirty friend but had hoped Angelica would “save him.” Angelica scoffed, “I feel like you could definitely handle yourself.”
She shared that she was hurt by his behavior. In her confessional, Angelica admitted she was vulnerable with Jason, and his disrespect had her feeling PTSD from her last relationship.
On the other hand, Jason felt like he had given Angelica grace. He said in his confessional, “For crying out loud, you’re going back home from the bar to sleep next to your ex … The closest comfort I get is Chris flushing the toilet at 2am.”
When Angelica told Jason she thought he was sneaky, he countered that she was a stage five clinger. So… that went well.
Another conversation that went just as well in the back alley was with Marcus and Venus. Venus shared he’s been sympathetic to Marcus because he lost both of his parents but ultimately felt disappointed in their friendship.
In his confessional, Marcus noted he never felt that Venus had to be a flawless friend. He said, “It sounds like you’re looking for a reason to have a problem with me.”
Venus told Marcus he wanted a friend with “emotional intelligence, honesty, and trust.” Marcus turned it around on him and wondered if Venus had treated him that way. Venus got to the point. He stated, “I don’t want to be friends with you anymore.”
We got a bit of comic relief when the two had a tit for tat as to who would leave first. Marcus gave in. Yet, even though Venus called it quits, it still felt like their friendship was far from over.
Chris and Audrey get closer

One relationship that wasn’t completely falling apart was Chris and Audrey’s. As evidence of Chris volunteering to help her move. Audrey stated, “I mean, he obviously just wants to be my boyfriend. Why else would you offer to lift heavy things?”
When her sex toy drawer popped open, a green flag waved in front of Chris. He said in his confessional, “Sex toy box? Green flag … That’s like such a plus in my book.”
Her roommate Parker then grilled Chris on his feelings towards Audrey. Chris felt they had chemistry, and she was emotionally intelligent. Plus he liked that she was smarter than him. She knew feng shui, after all. In a sweet moment, Audrey and Chris shared a quick kiss.
Back at SUR, Marcus met up with Lisa to talk about how his grief counseling was going. In his confessional he shared, “Other than losing one of my best friends and just having him throw our entire relationship in the garbage, I’ve actually been doing a lot better lately.”
Lisa admitted that grief counseling had really helped her. She said, “It was just talking to somebody who didn’t have any skin in the game but totally understood. For me, a light bulb went on, and I saw things in a different way. I don’t know if it’s going to be the same for you.”
That’s when Marcus shared his lightbulb moment with Lisa. He wanted to be a DJ. Lisa sighed. She said in her confessional, “I’ve had a DJ before, and it was really f*cking complicated.” Somewhere, one could hear James Kennedy shouting “Pumptini!” in the distance.
Lisa decided to give Marcus a chance, but with a warning. She said, “Good luck. Don’t f*ck it up.”
The high road is bullsh*t

Kim was ready to have an epic girl’s night out and even invited her frenemy, Natalie. As she didn’t want to hear about it for all eternity if she didn’t. So all the ladies, sans Demy, hopped on a party bus to Orange County.
The girls drank and spun around on the pole, with Angelica shocking everyone by doing the splits. However, Kim just looked at her phone. When they got to the restaurant, Audrey and Natalie discussed the dark cloud hovering over Kim.
Meanwhile, back at SUR, Jason decided he liked Angelica after all. So, Marcus helped him craft a text message to ask her out. One that took forever and was riddled with spelling errors. Surprisingly, Angelica gave him a “maybe.” Jason high-fived Marcus. So you’re saying there’s a chance!
When Kim came back to the table, Natalie decided to strike. She crept in for a hug, but when Kim told her this wasn’t the best time to talk, Natalie started to crash out. Angelica stepped in and told Natalie to put her feelings on pause. If looks could kill, Natalie’s stare would have struck her down.
But Kim kept her calm and walked away, leaving Natalie in a tizzy. Audrey tried to comfort Natalie and told her to take the high road. Natalie cried, “The high road is bullsh*t!” While everyone took turns riding the mechanical bull, Natalie did her best Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Britani Bateman impersonation and shouted, “But what about me?”
Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo. It can be streamed on Peacock the next day.
