Salley Carson wasn’t shy about approaching the men of Southern Charm. During Season 11, Salley was involved in a hot tub love triangle with her bestie, Charley Manley, and Craig Conover. When that didn’t work out, Audrey’s gaze fell upon Austen Kroll. And much to her delight, Austen had just broken up with his girlfriend, Audrey Pratt.
After all, Craig humiliated Salley when she admitted that she had a crush on him. Of course, they were picking out baby chickens at the time, which didn’t seem like the most romantic setting. Meanwhile, Craig firmly put Salley in the friend zone.
Salley Carson denies making “a move” on Austen Kroll while he was dating Audrey Pratt
During a recent episode of Southern Charm, Salley couldn’t control her joy over the news that Austen was now a single man. While the group hung out at the pool, Salley marveled at how “sexy” Austen looked.
Recently, Salley visited Watch What Happens Live, and host Andy Cohen had some questions about Austen. He asked if Salley made “a move” on Austen while he was still dating Audrey. “I did not make a move on him while he was with Audrey, and I would not have done that, and [Austen] wouldn’t have either,” Salley replied.
“He was very respectful of her. I mean, I was saying things to my girlfriends, like, ‘He’s hot; he has a great personality,’ but I would be flattered if someone was saying that about my boyfriend,” she added. Plus, she and Austen’s ex-girlfriend were never close friends, “other than her just hanging around the group,” Salley explained. Still, Salley’s behavior isn’t exactly championing girl code.
Later, when Andy mentioned a conversation on Southern Charm, when Austen’s mom mentioned that she wanted him to have kids, Salley was all for it. “I loved that conversation because I want kids,” she stated.
